Seriously, my life sucks. I know, I haven't been on in a while because things were looking up a bit, but now they are down again.

I'm going to see a second therapist with my parents now. I wish my sisters would all go too, but of course they are all in denial to being part of the problem. It's everyone, not just one person. I even am admitting that I am not perfect. But, now I feel like a freak because I'm seeing my own, and now on Saturday we're meeting with the family one. How much more screwed up can I get?

Please dont feel like a freak that are a lot of people that see a few different Ts for different things. The second T is helping with family issues and your T helps with your issues, I think that this kind of situation is quiet normal.

Don't worry about having multiple T's. I have 3.

I see my psychologist once a week. She's my primary T. I see my pdoc once a month. She does therapy as well as meds. And I see my addictions Dr. about every 3 weeks.

I sometimes feel like I have too much therapy in my life, but they all focus on slightly different things.

You'll explore different issues with your different T's.

I see two, and they compliment each other quite nicely.

My T doesn't do family therapy, so if we decide to go that route, we'd HAVE to see someone else.....I bet this is really common.

Good luck with your new T....I hope it goes well!

You are not a freak.

I have an individual T who I currently see 1x per week but am contemplating seeing 2x a week and DH and I have a couples counselor.

You are not alone.

Thanks everyone! I'm just frustrated with the whole thing because I spoke to my therapist about what goes on at home, and she was the one who gave me some names and I brought up the subject to my family. And of course my parents assumed I was not going to go, although I did make the suggestion.
