Welcome! I think the fact that you're asking if you should be talking to someone means that you probably think you should. I know a lot of people have benefited from talking to someone, especially if they have depression issues (like myself, amongst other things).

Hi bri77 09,

Ive found that leaving depression to get better on its own doesnt work -for me anyway - and it just keeps coming back stronger each time - since I have been seeing a psychologist it has really helped - they can give you strategies to help shorten the duration of the depression and help when/if it re-occurrs -

Talking about it does help, I hope you find what works for you,

Take care P7

I think that if you are asking yourself if you should see a T, it's probably a sign that you should see a T

I asked myself that for years and YEARS before I finally got up the courage to go. I've been going for 14 months now, and it's honestly changed my life.

Perhaps you could meet with a T, tell him/her how you are feeling, and see if they think they can help you??

Welcome to PC

I tried to handle it myself for a year. When I finally with to therapy, I immediately became aware of the fact that I had been depressed for a lot longer and I was more dysfunctional than I realized. For me, it took me a few therapy sessions, for the reality of where I actually was to sink in.

bri77 09, have you ever been to therapy before? Until this point, I had never considered ever going to therapy. By the time I got to the point of even considering it, I was really bad.
