Absolutely common. Par for the course at some points in therapy. Being hit like a bombshell--ditto. The attraction means a strong desire for connection--not necessarily just physical. It also means you see good things for your therapy with him. Clicking.

It sounds like you and your T are a good fit
![]() This is something really important to talk about in your therapy so I hope you'll bring it to your session. Everything we experience is to take to therapy and talk about. It was, and is, so amazing to me that this person, T, could be so accepting of me even when I could hardly speak a word. Her kindness, gentleness, acceptance, warmth, and especially her being non-judgemental made me feel so good! |

I have been seeing my T for 3 1/2 years and I have a huge attachment to him. Why? Because he listens to me without invalidating me, he cares about what happens to me, and he is always there for me. It's not uncommon to get so attached to our T's. We tell them the most important things in our life, and we grow to trust them and depend on them. So it's not unsual! I'm glad you have a T that you can connect with!
