Does this mean you can draw unemployment since you were "let go" instead of quitting? i was "let" go yesterday

I'd be terrified to leave one job without a new one to take it's place. Living paycheck to paycheck'll do that to a person.

I'm so happy for you. i was "let" go yesterday

Ha Ha Ha Ha....they so burned themselves! Now you can draw unemployment since "you can leave now". They didn't accept your resignation and fired you instead. They really ARE quacks! I don't know what state you are in, but in Michigan you have 10 days from the separation date to file.

Take 'em to the cleaners two-fold Pat! Reporting them to the state, and getting unemployment. YAY FOR YOU!!! I can SO relate to being in a high-stress work environment, then *poof* I got laid off.

Good luck on those interviews, but I would definitely file for unemployment, to get you by, just in case.

i was "let" go yesterday i was "let" go yesterday i was "let" go yesterday i was "let" go yesterday i was "let" go yesterday

Huge Hugz,
Dolfin

well Pat Like the others have said. you can collect unemployment and be a whistle blower all in the same time. Best of luck on your job hunt.

Hullo Pat,
I know that feeling of having made a thrilling escape from a bad employment situation. I'd dearly love to go over the wall at the university where I work now. There's simply this exquisite pleasure in knowing that a supervisor who has made your life a bloody misery for a long time -- and to whom you had to kowtow -- no longer holds any sway over you at all. In an instant, they go from all-powerful to utterly powerless. How can you NOT smile when the mean and "mighty" are so deservedly brought down a peg so quickly? Cheshire Cat
