YOU GO GIRL!!!! I am so proud of you taking these steps to take care of You!
It is and will be a long journey...with each step, ask yourself, "Is this good for me?" Hard...yes....scary, ofcourse, nerve-racking, yesssss...but you will gain a world you create.
And I believe in that "list of pro's and con's" idea...plan..even if its, hour by hour...ya know these are good life skills. And never forget from whence you came...it will help see those ~red flags~ in other relationships.
I am excited for you....and do so wish, as all that have posted...courage, strength, health, peace of mind....and LOVE for yourself!
Many blessings, and keep us around you!

((wolfsong)) - sorry I'm late to this thread. I'm proud of you for getting this consultation. Do you have access to the money to get meds and groceries while you're in the camper. I admire you're courage. Does your husband understand you want out? I pray it all works out for you.

I feel the same way Wolfsong - the less public humiliation, the better....on both sides. Your goal isn't to "destroy" each other. If one is destroyed, it only destroys the other one....then all that destruction gets handed down to the kids.

From what I hear, your goal is to be able to live and breathe in this world with some peace of mind. As much as you've tried, you can't live and breathe under the same roof with your husband.

Focus on being as fair and private as possible with the details. Don't "go for the jugular" or hit too deep below the belt, so to speak - but don't sacrifice yourself for the sake of fairness either. If your husband can understand you mean business, maybe he will help in some way to contribute to an amicable split. Paper roses and empty promises will no longer suffice.

Remember....your heart belongs to you, as well as the decisions you make in life. There's no need to "perform" for us - you owe us nothing. Mmmmkay?

Here ya go, sister.....in case you're in need of some salt.

Thanks for this!
