People! (ranting)

This basically has nothing to do with me, but it still makes me very angry.

I was talking to my friend Lauren today about how her wedding was going and such. Well, since it's the traditional thing where the parents are paying for it, they are inviting who they want to invite to the wedding...which includes people that neither the bride or groom even knows! It breaks my heart to hear over and over again how Lauren's mom is continually trying to run her life. Right now she's struggling so much with it that she's very seriously thinking about cutting (she's a cutter). Her mother even insisted on what kind of dress she needed to buy instead of her choosing on her own what kind of dress she wanted for the wedding! Hearing about it just really aggravated me.

Then I was talking to my little sis (who was due to have her baby May 12). The baby is refusing to come out...guess he likes being all warm and snug...LOL. Well, her mother in law went down May 11th so she wouldn't be alone on the blessed day. From what was understood she would stay till the baby was born. Well, the mother in law and the woman's bf have already left! My sister hasn't even gone into labor yet!

To make matters worse for my sister, they went down there acting like they were on vacation and that they owned everything in her house! I mean like my sister had to cook all the meals, they thought they could have free reign of the computer, phone, and her car! They wouldn't respect any of her wishes (which she mentioned several times) and were extremely disrespectful.

Mind you, my sister's hubby hasn't really spoken to his mother since he was 12 because she chose a man over her children (the guy beat the kids). He is currently in the Marine's stationed over in Afghanistan and definitely will not be back for the baby's arrival.

My sister has no friends down there...nobody is down there for her. So she now has to do everything completely alone. And if she goes into labor before Thursday (she thinks the doctor's are gonna induce her on Thursday) then she'll have to do everything herself...even drive herself to the hospital!

The whole situation just enrages me to no end! How can someone be so blatantly rude? I don't understand the whole thing.

I'm just irritated that I can't help these people due to such distances. (I'm in PA, my friend is in CT, and my sister is in NC) If I were with my sister she would be well taken care of. She wouldn't have to lift a finger until the doctor would tell her to PUSH! You get the picture.

Ok, I'm done ranting for now.

lex is there any way you could go down to be with your sister? if not I know the military has a group normally for the wives whose husbands are out of the country to help out in situations like this. if she were in ga I would gladly go be with her for you. I am so sorry and I understand all your frustrations. my daughter is getting married saturday! thank god I am not like your friends mother!!

I would go down if I wasn't on probation, had the money to go down (I'm broke right now), and so many other things.

God, my sis is just so alone...
