Hi folks,
I met a man at a dinner party some while ago, and today he just popped into my head again. He had been complaining to us about his unhappy marriage which had ended a couple of years before. Apparently his ex wife had developed an obsessive disorder and retreated to a clean room at the top of the house, where he was not permitted to go. He explained all this in fine detail but without empathy, only from his own point of view. I was getting bored. Then he said something which really interested me. His wife had told him, at the height of the drama, "You could end this right now if you wanted to." I looked at this bloke and I could see what she had meant. He was so bloody selfish! It had been me, me, me from the very start of the story. There are some people who are so self centred that it makes you ill just to be around their coldness. Of course I don't know if this was the case with the guy, but it could have been. He said that he had met up with her at a social event some months after they split up, and she looked fine. Hmmm, I'm not surprised! Cheers, M PS - If I'm right, then he had been through this whole sorry experience and learned nothing from it. Nothing at all. |

I know an elderly woman who also learned absolutely nothing from a drastic event in her life. It makes me really sad for her surviving daughter, who is my daughter-in-law. __________________ His & Hers Depression Blog http://his-hers.ozzieblackcat.com/ Avon Website http://youravon.com/susanking |
