It just struck me that I have no idea who my husband is anymore. I know we've been getting therapy and have a really supportive family. It's just they know who he is...I have a disconnect somehow.
I need to work on this a little by myself I think, but my mind plays tricks until I've spun in so many circles I have no idea where I'm standing. Lost is all. Funny is all. Other people think I'm smart? Can't imagine why. Well, off now. Take care PC and thanks for reading. |

I think after you've been married for years, the communication stops, and we just don't know our mates anymore. We take each other for granted.
![]() I hope in therapy you learn how to talk to each other again. Then perhaps you'll learn WHO your husband is. ![]() Don't feel bad. This happens to couples ALL the time. They just don't talk anymore. Too bad. But I'm so glad you're in therapy -- you're very smart to be doing that!!! Keep us posted, Shlump. And God bless! Hugs, Lee ![]()

Give it some time, shlump. I've been in similar situations in relationships, including my wife. For me, I had to take some time and get comfortable with myself first, then my relationships with other people fell into place all on their own.

It is good that you realize this and want to work on it. Trust me, best to look at these things honsestly and openly now rather than supress or dismiss them. I also agree that knowing who you are first let's you know who other people are... be comfortable with YOU!
