If you have told him to not contact you and he is anyway, and you feel he is a threat, by all means contact the police. It might not only be for your own protection, but for his. It is okay to contact police when you are afraid of someone you feel could be a danger.

You aren't throwing him under the bus, of course; he is harassing you.

I'm sorry you are going through this.
Thanks for this!

You may need to go to a women's shelter/safe house if there is one in your area (check the phone book, online...) beforehand but otherwise I echo echoes Safety First.
If you need to, go to stay somewhere else, find a safe house for women in your area via a hotline or community resource; otherwise I would echo echoes...safety first.

Welcome to PC, melanie. Sorry to hear you're having such a hard time creating a safe environment for yourself right now. I agree with the others; it sounds like some steps are required in order to do this. Calling the police and/or going to a shelter sound like good bets right now. You might also want to consider staying with someone else if a shelter is not an option, but I would definitely continue to not talk to him; it sounds like the last thing he needs is ammo.

Yes, I agree. It might be time to spend a few days in a domestic violence shelter if you are afraid of him.

If you are in danger:
Call 911
Your local hotline or
U.S. hotline 800-799-SAFE (7233)

Can't you block his number? That's the first thing I would do anyway...
Please stay safe

In my county the police would not be the right venue. You need to go to court and file for an RO (restraining order). the police ENFORCE RO's. Th court ISSUES RO's.

How about having a male friend answering to him? just like he is your boyfriend and politely questions him about what does he want from you.
Can you give you phone to a male friend / brother for a few days and see what happens?
