High Treason,
I am 42. I dated in the first two scenarios for the majority of my 20s and 30s, not realizing I was disrespecting myself. Now I care, but am still having a hard time finding a man w respect for me and himself. Drunks, groupers, one-nite-stands...it is all SOOOOOOOOO BORING! Kudos to u for restraining from "boozed up" sex. Maybe for the third date a picnic if u live in an area conducive to it? Wine, cheese, and such. Find out about who she is and what she dreams of. - meh... My two cents. Good luck |

At this point, I kind of feel like I just don't want to see her again. It's just too stressful wondering what may or may not happen or what she may or may not be thinking. I just don't want to deal with it. And I guess that goes for dating at all not just her. I mean let's be honest, there's very little chance of someone better than her. If she's interesting unique and fun to talk to and I don't want to go through the hassle for her, I guess I probably don't want to go through it for anyone.
I feel like we left off with kind of an expectation that we would see each other again, though. I don't know what to do about that. Is it acceptable to just not contact her again or that rude? It would seem weird and very rude to write her a note saying I wouldn't like to see you any more or some such thing. Yeah, that definitely sounds rude. probably just not contacting her again is best. What if she contacts me? |

I don't think it's right to just leave her hanging (that's so inconsiderate and you said she's a nice girl right?). Please don't hurt her like that. What about calling her when you know she's not home (like during work hours) and leave a nice message. Tell her you really liked her and had a good time but that you're just not interested in continuing the relationship. Wish her the best and say goodbye. Seems like the honorable thing to me.
