I really feel that my family does not understand what i am going through. My mom seems to think that i am not ill . She thinks i am doing this for attention. I have other family members who feel the same. Why would i be doing this for attention? This is not the kind of attention i want. They don't understand that my past is why i am this way now. I don't know if they will ever understand.

I'm sorry It's really tough when your parents aren't at all understanding. Is there anyone else you can talk to? We're always here for you!

I am so sorry to hear that your not getting appropriate support from your family.

It's so strange that the people who are supposed to be, and maybe even think they are with what they call 'tough love,' our biggest supporters wind up causing so much pain.

Feel free to vent to me if you want, I have totally been there. My parents don't believe in therapy sooooo basically had to wait until I got my own health insurance at 23 to start getting help.
