One of my friends is smothering me and it's really driving me to drink (not literally) I used to be very close to her. Now I just avoid her. She's constantly asking how I'm doing in this super caring overly nice way. I just can't deal with it. Recently I'm going through something and she's just being so incredibly annoying (I told her because I feel like I needed to tell those who are close to me). I'm a very emotionally detached person. I can't handle when people try to get too close and well she's pushing my buttons. The problem is I feel really guilty for feeling this way and I got madat her recently. In seriously a bad person.

You aren't a bad person for not wanting to be nagged about how you are doing. Sure, she probably doesn't mean to bother you about it, but it's still irritating. If you haven't already told her that you don't want to discuss X and that you want her to stop asking how you are, definitely give it a try.
