Okay so this is pretty much it. I go to the coffee shop three times a day because it gets me away from talking to the walls. I imagine the people there are my friends but they're required to be there because it's their job. However, without this outlet I would be alone all the time. The problem is I've never been a "joiner" I'm a solo act. I'm also a bit lazy and don't mind a few hours in my lazy boy chair. In the past I've tried random dating but found this exhausting and I found myself being a bit clingy when I found someone interesting. I know I'm sort of self defeating but this is the way it is. I guess I'm writing this to seek approval of this redundant lifestyle. It's lonely but I'm pretty comfortable on the fringe. Thanks and have a good day.

Do you always go to the same one or do you mix it up?

How would it help you to know if people here approve or disapprove?

It's always a good idea. For the past few months if not work or gym all I do is go to bed and some of the time depressed and lonely. Before I hit my depression again I use to do meetup some were missed one group was a hit and I enjoyed the interaction and company.

I think though that you can do better.

I favor getting away from self-defeating and lonely but...comfortable.

It's just easier to not get involved but it's also painful......
Find the path that is a bit harder but much less painful. Don't settle for three times a week alone at a coffee shop.

You can do better.

I ask you this: how many men your age do you see befriended by a young woman not related to them?

You have more to offer than you seem to realize or are willing to admit. Use those gifts!
