That coworker is the same age of me and has an extensive hatred towards me, he somehow feels that I am better than him in something, he does everything like I do, he even buy anything he sees with me, he always wants to feel better than me (although he was promoted to a higher position than mine).
He always wants to feel more popular than me, he doesn't treat me nicely, he doesn't like to hear anyone talks well about me.

He has a pure inferiority complex, and always show defensive actions.

There are a lot more but I shortly mentioned the story.

What can I do, I always feel stressed, should I ignore him, or reply to his actions and furthermore arouse his inferiority complex.

I clipped some rationalization points that might be adding to the stress you are experiencing. When we begin determining to "know" how another person feels in this capacity, draws concern that perhaps our own feelings might need to be addressed.

Has this coworker had a one on one discussion with you and stated verbatim his feelings to be as such?

Is he directly hostile in the workplace? Define nicely.

When he doesn't like hearing others talk nicely about you, what happens?

Working with tension in the workplace is certainly no cakewalk. We're not guaranteed that we'll have great chemistry between coworkers. I have tension with one woman, it spans years, so i just stay away from her and ignore her. I've work to do, can't be bothered by drama. Not my style.

How do you know he feels inferior or thinks you are better than him? What exactly does he do? What makes you think he gas inferiority complex?

If he creates hostile environment at work and harasses you, avoid him or tell him to stop and if he doesn't stop address with HR department or your boss. Other than that I don't know what to suggest as I don't knows exactly what does he do to you?

I've worked alongside a few people like you describe. It's definitely their problem, so don't make it yours.

Be polite and professional and keep the unrelated work conversation to a minimum. You don't specify how he doesn't treat you nicely, but his actions will speak for themselves if people see him mistreat you.

You shouldn't have to put up with abuse, but oftentimes rude behavior is tolerated in the workplace. Only you can decide if the company is worth staying at.
