I have no where to turn. I don't even know if this is appropriate, but I find myself looking to drugs and alcohol to cope. I need help and I have none. So here I am.
I met a guy online 3 years ago. It's been on and off since then. Even during the offs he was there to support me when I needed him. He disappeared two days ago. He hasn't logged on. He never does that. He never doesn't login. He tells me when he's going to be unavailable. He doesn't just disappear. People think because it's online it doesn't count. I'm terrified that something bad has happened to him. I'm falling apart and there's nothing I can do.

I've always been told that unless you meet IRL, it's not a real relationship. I think that's kind of true.

I agree. You need to re-evaluate this aquaintanceship for what it is. Look to the people that surround you. I know this sounds terribly cruel but things oustide of real life are just unreal.

![]() I'm really sorry that you are hurting so much right now. It sounds like nothing like this has ever happened before in your relationship with him, and that you have no reason to expect it to happen now. Consequently, you are terrified that something bad has happened to him. The anxiety is so great that it is making you even consider using drugs or alcohol. What might be some options for safer ways to cope with the pain? ![]() (((((Harley326))))) |

Please don't do anything drastic. To all honesty unless you met and dated him he might not be who he says he is. Could be anybody. Please be safe

Well let's look at what you can control and work from there. Just saying you can control whether not you self medicate I believe the wiser option would be to replace the habit with some less destructive or, even better, something positive. Best of luck my friend.
