Oh boy. And some have been quiet. Hmmm

I'm sticking to helping Kira by not helping Kira.
Thanks for this!

I'm a bit confused here ...

You are so lost in this other person's life, I can't help but wonder ...

What is your relation to Kira?

Why are you focused on her and her issues instead of your own?

It isn't healthy to be so consumed with "fixing" someone else.

With that being said, PsychCentral is an awesome place to get input and support ...

However, I truly believe it might be helpful to you (and this Kira person) to also get some professional help from a therapist that practices near where you are living.

Sincerely,
Pfrog!

Thanks for this!

I'm not schizophrenic. I have aspergers. I just want her to feel comfortable in the US. I don't like stereotypes either. And I found the perfect stereotype breaker.

She is also not imaginary, and I am here because she can't see any therapists where we live because of the language barrier.

You have become like the Finnish on other forum sites, they think she is imaginary. I was banned on a few. I am not a troll or a spammer, I just need the help because there is no Finnish or French therapists in California.

Many Finnish on other sites thought she was imaginary, therefore labeling me as a troll.

Is it because she is from Finland, and doesn't know English?

Do you not believe in her? She is a real human being. She is not a creation of my imagination. People can break stereotypes. Not all Mexicans are illegal, for example. So, this means not all Finnish speak English.

I'm sorry I can't help you and I have to leave this thread.

I don't think you have a question...

In other words, you are trying too hard to be convincing.

I hope you both get the help you need.

You keep asking everyone if they are Finnish, you asked me too. Is this OCD thing? I am not asking it to be mean, my husband has OCD. So I understand. But are you seeking therapy and are taking medication or was it suggested?

I never heard a stereotype of Finnish speaking English or all Finnish being gamers.

There is Finnish pop music. They ain't all rockers or metalheads.

She cannot live on these stereotypes. She seems like she wants to be different than everyone she has seen with these stereotypes.

Where are all these stereotypes common?

Internet. Mainly youtube and google. But that's not our sweet little Kira.
You have a serious problem with logic....you say these stereotypes are common on the Internet but Kira is living in the real world, not on the Internet. I think you are the one that needs help to better understand the situations you are in. Professional help so that you can understand what is really going on rather than the way your mind seems to perceive it.

This person sounds like he/she needs help with understanding what's going on. He/she sounds as they have legitimate confusion in regards to other cultures etc There are a lot of very confused people posting on this forum, that's a bit of a nature of this forum, simply not replying or not advising isn't always the best solution. Sure people might be trolls but not every confused person is a troll.

If it goes that route...I wonder if we could have ONE thread. The forums are peppered with Kira threads, "volumes," and "lessons." Genuine or not, it's ... scattered. That's being polite.
Thanks for this!

The internet is the proof of these stereotypes.

By that logic 95% of American males are perverts because porn is everywhere.

Actual Finnish internet users are on English language sites, and they use English. They are on youtube, forums, etc. And they are all gamers. And they are all part of geek fandoms.
I can feel why Kira wants English abolished in Finland, and she also wants the stereotypes (which are always true) to stop.

Stereotypes are almost never true. Even if the internet says so. You can't lump a whole culture into one stereotype. That's insane.

True. Is there proof that not all Finnish know English or play video games?
