He isn't communicating to you. Sending him pics all of a sudden comes across desperate

And don't think that he's a great guy that you are missing out on. You don't know much about him. He doesn't sound so great so far...not impressed.

In my opinion, it's always a good thing to be a little mysterious...people are curious by nature...
Don't divulge too much, too soon. I don't know how you are when you text, but you seem like a lovely, open person here, and that's great. But it's never a bad thing, in a relationship (or a maybe-relationship) to want the other person to want.... ![]() I am, I admit, the last person to give any advice on communication, though ![]() |

I remember feeling conflicted about the whole pursuit thing back in the late 70's/ early 80's. My mom was from the 50's and there were rules that were set in stone (so she said). In my generation people were saying they didn't want any game playing. But what did that mean? When I tried to not play games, I always got rejected!
I think it is a biological thing. Males are hunters and they want to be the ones to pursue. If you take that away from them, they lose interest. If they are so passive that they allow the woman to be the aggressor, the woman will probably lose interest in a male so passive. I am having horrible marital problems because my h is so passive toward me. But, when we met, even he was the one who pursued me and I let him. When we met I let him ask for my number. I waited for him to call. I let him ask for a date. He'd say "I'll call you tomorrow" and I'd wait for that call. And he would call when he said he would. Once we were really seeing each other I'd call him some of the time, too. I'd ask him somewhere, etc... it's a give and take.

College boyfriend, different situation because we lived in the same dorm and there were no formalities or parents.
The day we moved in, my roommate brings him to the dorm and says "Look what I found in the laundry room!" In comes the cutest little punk rocker! He was different from the suburban boys I'd known. We called him The Tough Kid From Philly. It was an instant connection. He was in my room, on my bed from that moment on. But, again, it was him that pursued. Just thought i'd throw that one in.

Artchic I find you really funny, I mean having great sense of humor, I often laugh at funny comments you make. I wonder if you let men see that humorous side of you? You are also a very good writer. Always very cohesive and logical writing. I kind of wish you pursued a degree (any) and a career of sorts that would give you more disposable income to pursue things and more options in meeting higher quality professional men. I know you deserve it

Thanks Divine.
I decided to bite the bullet and pay for a month's subscription to Match.com. I guess they enticed me by hiking my profile up to get more views after I reactivated it, but didn't yet subscribe. Anyways, I'm not really expecting much from it now that I have a subscription. We'll see.
