I never go on fb anymore, just a quick scan and hit a few likes. But I just went on for a sec, saw a comment made by the popular cheerleader/homecoming queen I was not friends with in hs, but is now on my fb along with the rest of my school. Her post was such a perfect set up, I couldn't resist posting a (I think) hilarious dirty comment. So I did. Now I am holding my breath, hoping she thinks it's funny.

Step away from the computer ...

I unfriended most of the people I went to high school with as I really wasn't close to them, and we don't see eye-to-eye on most issues so what's the point?

The only reason I'm on FB is because my son, DIL and grandson are on there, and she posts a lot. They're hundreds of miles away and we aren't very close so this way I can see what's going on in their lives. Other than that, I like the memes.

None of the people I hardly know on there can say anything worse than my so-called best friend just said. The minute I posted, she sent me a text that said my comment spoiled all her hard work of finally getting accept by that popular crowd. I called her back and we laughed about my comment. Then she said "You must be on new meds".

She just had to get in that as a zinger. What a mean bi**h! I would say I can't believe she'd say that, but I can because she always has to take a dig at me.

Argh!

So my toxic friend ended up posting under my post something that sounded really snarky to the cheerleader, causing the cheerleader to respond with a defensive comment. No one laughed at my joke, probably didn't even get it. Pearls before swine!

I just told my friend her crack about me being on new meds was mean and hurt my feelings. She defended herself how it wasn't mean. I had to spend minutes pleading my case. She finally had to agree and gave me a half hearted apology.

But in the process I told her I suffer from depression and she said she had no idea I had been diagnosed. So, I just really made it all worse for myself. She'll find a way to throw that in my face too.

It's just this friend that is a friend who is not a friend. Again, keeping my distance. She can't be nice. It's just not in her.

Do you think I have a thing for trying to get love from narcissists?

You deleted your acct because you couldn't resist making funny comments?

Yes, I don't like going on there because it triggers me to want to make really trolling comments! It makes me kind of hostile. People just post stuff that's such a set up. But, I dont feel mean towards them, just that I want to say funny, inappropriate things that I think would make them laugh.

This cheerleader is always saying dirty funny things herself, so I didn't think the joke would be offensive. It was actually complementary referring to her desirability.

Ironically, it's my friend who sabotaged me this time who also did in HS. I was not invited to parties because I was friends with her and nobody wanted her around.

It always bothered me how she'd lament how she wasn't accepted by the 'popular' crowd and acted like being my friend meant nothing. I'd always say 'thanks a lot for making me feel so special'.

Same as it ever was!
