Here is the thing though. I have plenty of things I can do, BUT I want to go to that 1 concert or to the movies, with a guy on a date, as opposed to going alone. Don't you get that that part of what I am saying here. I could go with a family member or a friend but it isn't the same as with a potential partner when it comes to dating aspect.

I don't think anyone says you shouldn't go to concerts or movies with a guy. That's IF you have a guy. I don't think anyone objects to that. The issue is that you can't force guys to go places with you. Just because you like them to go places with you, doesn't mean they should. Also if you currently don't have a guy it doesn't mean you shouldn't enjoy your life and make finding a man a priority. Imho
