I'm sorry you've had a bad experience but do realize that a large percentage of this group are schizophrenic and most members on this site are in some form mentally ill, and from the experiences I've had here we are very good people who struggle to manage our disorders. I understand this is a vent and your first post, but do please be kind in your choice of words as saying "all our dangerous" is extremely insulting in a mental health community.

Has he been diagnosed as schizophrenic? And did you wake up to him climbing on your son or you? It's hard to understand your post with no punctuation.
Is he on meds? Are you his wife or his girlfriend? Your title says girlfriend but your post says he's your husband? If you're his wife, can you have him committed to the hospital to get some help? I reiterate what LiteraryLark said. Everyone on this site has a mental illness of some kind, and many are living with schizophrenia. They are not all dangerous. In fact, statistics show that people suffering from mental illness are more likely to be victims than abusers. Welcome to PC. Seesaw

I understand the confusion of the situation. For that you may also want to consult a therapist to help you understand and manage the symptoms of a person diagnosed with schizophrenia.

1. you assume all suffering from Sz are men.
2. He needs to be hospitalized if he can't control his behavior. 3. We're not "all dangerous" At times I can be harmful but mainly to myself.

This guy does sound dangerous with his climbing up on people at night. If he refuses treatment perhaps you do need to separate for your kids sake. It doesn’t mean everyone is dangerous though. No need to generalize.

Hi, welcome to PC and yes please be careful with your choice of words on here. You could easily offend people by making generalizations. Not all are dangerous. I hear voices myself and am on medication for them. I am not diagnosed as schizophrenic and I do not have any other symptoms that indicate I am, but I hear voices and am probably somewhere in the neighborhood. I am not dangerous.
This man does sound a bit out of control, though. You may need some outside help. |

I agree with advice given....
Is he in treatment and on meds? are you seeing a Therapist? I would advise you to as your situation with your son sounds very hard on you.. People with mental illness are not all dangerous... Most of us here including myself find that triggering and just plain rude.. Please reach out for help about it all
