Okay so... Im 16yr old and I live in care,I have a boyfriend who is over 40 and likes me,he acts like hes a teenager and when I go out for lunch with him he always asks for cigarettes and a few times he asked could I have a few of my chips-I said No and then he sighed and said fine. We held hands and then he stopped and asked me did I play final fantasy ..he always buys a new game everytime i meet up with him. He gives me gifts and I always buy him DVDs and stuff he might like. I want to just be friends but I dont know how to say it -in a nice way

What redeeming qualities does he have outside of buying you gifts???
What shared interests do you have ??

why are you dating someone over 40? if you sleep together you do realize it is statutory rape on his part? tell him to get lost and find someone his own age. he doesn't need to date 16 yr olds. and you shouldn't be going there either...find someone closer to your age with whom you have actually something in common. how did you even meet this guy?? i'm not sure what "in care" is but if it's something like a care facility you still need to be more careful.
my gut tells me he's looking for more then just fries. be careful and do something to keep yourself safe. you deserve better. |

he probably should find other people closer to his age to play games with. he has already had sketchy boundaries once (that you are aware of) so what is to stop him from stretching them again? and YOU need to find friends closer to YOUR ages as well.

COMPLETELY agree with ALL the other Wise, Wonderful posters, @princesscookie19! You deserve MUCH, MUCH better than him, and most importantly someone closer to you age!
