Actually what I have to say is pretty funny. (Funny and frustrating, LOL)

Today I asked the hubby to weed the flower beds. Yes, in our world my hubby is the type that would walk over dirty clothes for months, continue on with the tower of dirty dishes (Im not sure he has ever seen a dishwasher!), and probably run over garbage cans if they happened to be in the drive not 10ft from the car when he leaves for work! Awe...I know you wives know exactly what Im talking about, or most of you anyway!!! Communication or Lack of.....

So okay, today he goes out to weed. Now, I have to check on him oh, every 5 minutes or so. He doesn't know Im doing this but I peek out the door or window and what do you think I see?????

He is not doing the usual weeding that we all have done Im sure. He is outside, bending over the flower beds with scissors!!!! Yes, scissors. He is cutting all the weeds in the beds. OMG!!! I am like.... Communication or Lack of..... HAHAHA

(Cannot stop laughing!)

I hope you all can understand the humor in that and at the same time,,,just the plain stupidity that goes along with it. Communication or Lack of..... I mean, exactly in one week (or less) Im going to have the SAME weeds growing again.
I guess the old saying is right....IF YA WANT SOMETHING DONE RIGHT, YA BETTER DO IT YOURSELF!!!!!!
Happy days to all...... Communication or Lack of.....

Heh! I weeded this morning and after a bit my wife came out and she helped by cutting back some stuff too. It's a lot easier to weed after a lot of rain (which we just had). LOL at the scissors.

You know what is kind of "manly" is those flame-based weeders. You just blast the weeds with a weeding torch and they end up dying without too much hassle. "Dude - you've got a flame thrower there..." Also, boiling water can do the trick too. Sit down with the hubby and watch those Paul James (the gardener guy) shows. He has good tips and is pretty funny too.

Weeding is a minor hassle. When I was a kid, I hated to weed in the garden for my mom. Now, at 43, I have a garden setup which is 50' by 40' and grow vegetables and weed and all that. Good exercise too. Maybe if you can show the hubby that it's actually good exercise to be out there and the results are that it's nice to look at. But surely explain the whole "the roots are the problem" aspect of weeding. Good luck on that - could be more LOL moments to come.
