I know those of you who live up north may not understand this, but I live in the south and we aren't used to freezing weather conditions. Our town along with neighboring towns are in a state of emergency. We don't have water. There are a number of breaks. There are water trucks for us to get water. The Army Reserve is at the hospital with water trucks. The governor of Mississippi has issued a state of emergency for Jackson, Mississippi which is only 60 miles from where I live. Please pray for all of us.

My van has had severe problems due to this freezing weather. Heater hoses and a radiator hose had to be replaced. Now, the freeze plugs have to be replaced. I am not the only one having these kind of problems. We aren't used to dealing with this.

On the other hand, some of you don't have to deal with hurricanes. LOL. I am trying to find humor in this.

This winter has been bad for several states. It is a struggle I am tired of dealing with.

I hope things improve soon, Faylowell.

Okay I stopped praying for snow. Someone upstairs needs to work on their aim anyway. All who are snowed in, please stay warm!

Snow is pretty, it is the ice I hate that freezes everything.

Please pray for me personally. My ocd, panic disorder, and phobias are going off. Triggers. I had to take a whole xanax last night along with a sleeping pill and then put headphones on with the bible on cd to run all night to be able to rest.

I don't see anything wrong with this way of coping, and hope that it truly helped you to rest. Sure, it might be out of the ordinary, hopefully you aren't so triggered very often... but it looks to me like you're doing good self care.
That your triggery self will calm more and more each hour.

These things can really throw you through a loop.I know. We had a horrible arctic storm go through here 5 years ago tht destroyed our tree farm (picture deep forests hundreds of miles in every directipon knocked FLAT and you'll know what we say when dawn came). It was a national disaster and it has marked us (everyone on southern and central Sweden) for life, I think. Whenever it starts blowing up to a storm.... yeah, the tension starts. Bless you, don't try barbecuing inside or anything like that, and make sure you have something warm to drink, even if you have to use a candle to heat the water/ice/snow. You can get so cold so fast. You are in my prayers.

Listening to positive things helps me to sleep and keeps my mind from wandering. I put on a bible cd and then hit repeat for the entire cd for the night and then when I wake up I hear the Word comforting me. Helps my day start off good. I listened to the last half of Psalms and the first three chapters of Proverbs last night. I am really trying to keep the attacks down because they do make my blood pressure go up. Talking about balancing your life. I am going to church tonight early to get some one on one time. I missed Sunday because of sickness.
