I go see my surgeon today for another follow up.

My home health person wanted him to look at a few spots because of the way they were growing back. He doesn't think they are infected or anything but thought they were growing back wierd. Also it is trying to scab over and for some reason (not sure why) but they don't want it to. So my HH person wants me to go to wound care for them to scrub it off as he doesn't have time to do it.

I always get real stressed when I go see this particular doctor. I want to please him so bad and the last few times I have gone to see him I have gained weight and I am hoping I have lost this time but I am so worked up about it I am actually sick to my stomach. I feel like I could just barf. I know he is just a man and he is actually very pleasant but because I want to please him and not make him made I worry every time I have to go see him.

So please pray that my stomach can calm down so we don't have to make a quick pull over to the side of the road.

Jan

Well I am home now and the visit went well. I go back to see him in 6 months. WOOHOO!! I figured it up and if I lose 1lb a week I will be at goal by the time I see him. This is so doable. I lost some of the weight I had gained even if the paperwork doesn't say so. The person that weighed me in last time didn't put my weight into the computer the last 2 times it looked like I had gained this time when in reality I had lost.

My wound is coming along great and said there is a slight risk that he may do more surgery to clean up the scar tissue. I was oh no no more surgery. He said calm down I just said maybe not I will be doing it. But it was a harsh calm down it was gentle. He said I will have a nasty scar and I said so does that mean I need to take back my bikini LOL? He said yes and the tanning sessions too.

We talked a bit about mom and her having cancer and how it affects me. I was laughing saying my parents are just trying to give me cancer (I was laughing at the time and so was my mom) he said well its genetics and what you put in your body like inhale into your body...he was teasing me about smoking. He knows that I have some serious urges and gives me gentle advice.

But all in all it was a good visit.

Good to hear, and not so good (you smoke? ) Yes, 1lb a week IS doable and very healthy way to lose. Put your plan to paper and follow it daily, hourly if needbe. I'll join you I only have maybe 20 to lose though.

still for you and your good efforts in self care. An increase in vitamin C, by the way, can help ward off (and cure?) cancer. TC

I don't smoke anymore. I used to smoke before I had my surgery. I do admit to having a few since but not very many. I know they are bad for me and all the things they cause and the fact I have asthma doesn't help matters.

The main time I smoked is when I was bored and alone. I am no longer alone since I am here at my parents and so we will see what happens when I go home.
