You are completely fine My thinking is very similar to your first comment. But to clarify a bit from my side.. the spirit will live on forever in what you have done and created on this earth.... I want to become same with earth once I die which will hopefully be far, far in future!!! And share my energy where it belongs Mother nature has wonderful plans for all of us. Maybe I will be a little mushroom in next life and whatever I have done and contributed to the society during my living days will not be forgotten! In otherwords.... when I am gone & dead from this world... I do know I had a purpose for being here How and what my close family decides to deal with the remains... is totally up to them. I am an organ donor and hope they respect my wishes Hugs & be at piece

This subject is a big one for me and i think about it quite a bit. In my heart of hearts i truly wish that there is something more than earthly existence.

In my logical mind i just cant believe that there is anything beyond.

Even that being said, its just so odd, this life. Consciousness out of nothing and then a transient life leading to who knows what.

What a mystery.

I agree that it is hard to imagine, but SOMETHING created us, right? People can say "science", but something created science. Plus, isn't it hard to believe that we just appeared here, or a bunch of rocks and dust made us?

I consider myself a Christian but I do get confused at times. I don't think it is out of the realm of possibility that what we TELL ourselves is going to happen is what happens. Maybe if we want to come back, we come back. Maybe if we want to be in Heaven, we spend our after-life in Heaven. Maybe if we want to remain on earth, we become ghosts. Maybe if we want our energy spread around, we become one with the planet. I could see that happening. Perhaps we are given a choice, or our brain tells our soul what we believe for so long that our soul reacts to it and that is what happens.

May sound crazy, but to me isn't out of the realm of possibility... I like to believe that when we die we have to keep coming back until we get it right. Reincarnation. Once we do get it right we get our key to heaven. I choose to believe in that because not knowing scares the heck out of me and I so don't want to believe in a Hell. If Hell is as they say, and that nearly everyone will go there and very few will make it to Heaven, then a lot of us will be there and I choose to not think like that. What a bad way to live life..

Great insight! I admire your open mindedness. You do not invalidate a possibility by voiding it's feasability. That is truly the way to continually be growing and learning new things. Don't put things in a box that rule out the existence of a greater truth. Your approach to this manifold enigma is very creative and unshackled by the handcuffs of what we have seen with our physical eyes. You are, in effect, thinking outside the box; by declaring that the "box" could be One in many, and many in One. Very well said!

"No religious talk whatsoever is allowed here in this specific forum, including but not limited to church, clergy, the Bible, etc. Thank you" how can you discuss life after death with out mention of religion I'm sure it's possible but its a wide range topic and most religions believe in some form of afterlife or reincarnation.

I think they are refering to Bible Thumping and quoteing from it, and preaching.

Your Probably safe in saying something like "Chistians belive in life after death".

Well, in my faith, we believe that the more you think about death, the better a person it makes you.
you may be asking, well, how is that so? for several reasons.
1. we believe that there is one god who gave us instructions on how to live a good life, heaven and hell
2. we believe that we are acountable for EVERY single actions( yes, even when you stole that glance when no one was looking)

so if we are constantly thinking about death, then that means that we will constantly be thinking about our accountability, which in turn will always thinking about how to do good and prevent evil.

So, often remember the Killer of Desires(death), and you will be less inclined to follow the evil of the soul.

That is what I believe in anyways.

I personally believe that our essance never dies, energy is never distroyed it just reverts to something else, so I would assume our own energy that we create does the same. I do think it is important to "value life' and realize that the reason we are here is to learn and share with others for as long as we can.

I don't know about hell, but I believe that if someone is a selfish bad person and never learns to share and love, their selfishness lasts for eternity and their energy is negetive and dark. Cheating, selfishness, lying, stealing and harming others IMO, is something that the person has to answer to here and forever after. One doesn't have to be "great" to be a "great person".

I dont believe anything lasts forever. A horrible person will only have to deal with their karma until they are willing to change it. Like you say - its all about learning and sharing etc.. If a bad soul finally learns to love and care for others - so their negative energy will start to change into good energy. And their karma will change too. No soul is ever damned for eternity. But, I think sometimes it can take them a very long time to snap out of their wicked ways... Just my opinion

Never been there so i cant tell for sure , with me i dont think about life after death too much, i dont know its because i dont believe in heaven or hell or if theres a life after death, but with me it would be nice if theres no more life after iam died, i would love to be gone forever oir maybe shattered to million pieces and no more me or life for me

and if theres heaven or hell, I believe that every kindness counts, even when you are bad person ( By human category), Bad person for one person might be a good person for others we never know and we are not God ! and who decided where people goes? i dont think its one of us so maybe people who say " bad people " will go to hell" will also ended up in hell

i used to believe in life after death- but only if you lived your life naturally.. no suicide or anything. you just die naturally.

but as the years went by i started to lose that belief... i though to myself- well their's no proof, where's the actual proof that's making me believe in life after death?

i guess no one really knows.. i'd like to think their's some kind of reward, but as for what, well i'm not sure

Hevan, Hell, are just ways that various religions have to perserve social order, and has nothing to do with life after death.
