My friend just lost custody of her 6 yr old daughter to her abusive ex-husband. She is a complete mess right now. He wanted nothing to do with his daughter until recently, now he has full custody and mom doesn't have any visitation unless she flies out to Arizona. Please pray that she will have a peace about her and know that her daughter is going to be ok. After the decision was made, she had 1 hr to spend with her daughter before the cops and her father came and took her away. It just isn't fair. Thank you all for praying for both mother and child.

I feel so horribly for your friend buttrfli. I lost my son in a messy divorce, I guess I should say I let him go, there was so much upset and he needed peace so I bowed out. It hurts like you know what. Im so sorry for your friend, she will need a lot of strength and love to get through this and it is possibly the hardest thing she may ever endure, I dont know, but its a biggie. I will pray for her to not lose any bit of the love she feels for her daughter though it might feel like pure torture right now. In absence of the one we love, our love can feel so tormenting. but may the love she feels for her daughter also be the love she gives to herself right now. Her daughter needs her in so many ways and even if she cant be with her at all times, the love she feels is the love that will make her stronger in the long run. Tell her to never give up!

Thank you all for your prayers. She is really not handling this well. Who could expect her too? I am planning on going over to sit with her tomorrow evening or Friday. I don't know what we will do besides cry, but sometimes that is all we can do. That's why tissues were invented. Please keep the prayers coming.

I can't even imagine the pain that she is in right now, but I will certainly pray for them buttr!

I have never been a mother but maybe you two could get together and come up with some ideas to help her daughter remember her mom. Maybe decorate a shoe box and put some of her favorite things in it, or a collage with pictures on it? Make some cards to send to her every week? Maybe get some beads and make a bracelet for her to wear?
Thanks for this!

More prayers Buttrfli. She is so blessed to have you for a friend. You're right, sometimes we can only cry. I think there may still be some things you're friend can do to make the best of this terrible situation. There were some suggestions above I hope will help. I know this is hard.
Thanks for this!
