I'm not sure how in depth I'm allowed to go, but I find comfort in Celtic Spirituality. In Celtic music, stories, myth and folklore. In looking at images and feeling this spiritual connection to the land and sea. The music soothes me and touches a place deep inside my soul. There is no single aspect of Celtic Spirituality that has great influence over the other; all aspects weave and blend together. My belief in the good people has existed since I was a child, and every day I am learning more and marveling at these rich, beautiful cultures, both modern and ancient. Ironically, I'm not from a Celtic country, I'm American. But it still speaks to me all the same and brings me peace when I'm troubled, or suffering. I do contain Celtic genetics. So this must be why I feel this way.
As soon as I can, I think I will bake some Irish soda bread. That has become a spiritual act for me, and is something I truly enjoy.

Music has always soothed the soul. It takes us out of what disrupts our oneness with nature and tunes us back into it. Celtic music is very healing, thank you for posting this, tc

I didn't fully appreciate what an impact this spirituality has on my life until yesterday. So it was really helpful to write this.

Interesting to read an interesting post. Feel it's true there's so much spirituality intertwined in the daily life of an Irishman. From leisure/work; even politics. I was born in Cork, lived in Dublin & get back often. We're now (technically) in UK but live right on the Scottish border. That Celtic influence is all around. 2016 is a pivotal part in any Irish Republican's heart. As we examine/commemorate each aspect of the 1916 Easter Rising we realise just how much our lives are entrenched/guided by the spiritualism/beliefs of our Fathers, etc. I truly feel you're following a good road where you simply "sit amongst the shamrocks".

There is a strong spirituality in the US too. In pockets and places. Its more evident in the Bible Belt and south...especially the deep South. The North doesn't have as strong as spiritual atmosphere, though there are spiritual people here too, don't get me wrong. But in the South there's a real sense of community around it. Taking a walk can become a spiritual experience for me. Feeling the presence of the Good People and the Old Gods in the wind, trees...snow even. Everywhere. There are stories that some of the Good People immigrated with the Irish over to America. I love hearing those stories. From what I've read, a lot of folk customs have been dropped across the pond. Hopefully they are coming back. They are really wonderful.
