Hi all,
My newest obsession is with my weight-I lost 25 lb. about 4 years ago and now have gained 30! I've been going to Curves since November and have only lost 2 lb! ![]() I'm only 5'4 1/2" so the only way to go is out. I'm seeking to eat smaller portions and exercise 4-5 days/week. I'm going into menopause, I believe-no periods for 3 months now so it'd be nice to get it off before it's the full-blown thing! thanks for all your support! ocdchick |

Keep doing what you know to be good and right! Since you are exercising you probably are toning muscles, which weigh more. They will burn more calories eventually though. I would be excited about losing the inches, for sure!
Father in heaven, you know how concerned we get about being overweight, we humans. Please show ocdchick anything else that she needs to do to help her lose this weight. In fact Lord, help all of us who mind our food choices and yet remain less than healthy because of our weight. We thank You Father that You are concerned whenever we are, and care about us so. In Your Son's name we ask for guidance. Amen.

Thanks for the wonderful prayer-last night my friend suggested I give up non-dairy frozen desserts and I decided to give up cookies, sodas, etc. for Lent. I drink natural sodas but they're still VERY HIGH IN SUGAR! I read nutrition labels for the fat content/sugar amts. This should help - I'll take on more exercise-walking -5x/week and resistance 2-3x/week-I take weekends off! ![]() ![]() It's a rainy day today but my spirits are good. I don't think I'll make an AW service but that's OK-I'll say a prayer on my Anglican rosary. peace, ocdchick |

Oh, there's sugar in just about everything these days.
![]() ![]() I always chuckle inside when I think of all the people in the past that I've known who admittedly gave up their favorite "sin" as they called it, for Lent. heheheh I gave up sodas last year. Popcorn at the movies is not the same now. It's like not having beer with pizza. ![]() Do you have a limit of fat and sugar for yourself set? Having actual values to stay under each day will help. We all tend to take in more than we realize, imo. Good wishes!
