Elps... the best advice i can give is that you listen to God and those whom the Spirit works thru... sometimes its a Doc... get second opinions, know yourself well, listen to the voice of Spirit within... if it is healthy and growing and caring, it is good wisdom..... you will get to your destination in time... no instant gratification here ... well, not always lets say... it can happen..

IMHO, God offers many ways of helping ourselves. From prayer to God for strength and healing, to finding the answers through doctors, therapists and medications. There is no reason why those things cannot be used together in our healing quests. For God gives us the ability to think, question, reach out and accept what we feel is best for ourselves.

Wishing you well and sending supportive thoughts and prayers.

What if medication is the answer that God is offering to you? Who do you think inspired people to know how to make the medication? I'm not saying this is or is not the answer for you, but sometimes we don't see what God offers us because it doesn't come in the form that we expect. The answer might not be for God to take away your fears and suffering without requiring effort on your part, or treatment. Faith is to trust in God and be open to whatever He offers for you. You will need to pray and ask Him whether a particular medication or treatment or any other solution is the right answer for you. If it is, when you pray about it, you will feel good about it.

i found that God allowed the meds to assist me in being able to hear that silent still voice amongst all the chaos. I dont plan to know whats going on hon .... but i know that jesus died for all of us .... drugs or no drugs that ur decision but if the drugs can give u a little peace then allow them to do whatever they need to do

BTW i have been off meds since May 07 so u can also overcome anything with enough faith and understanding

I agree, about always good to pray! reconciling my fears with being a child of God

Would you be asking about "only" needing more prayer if the medication was for diabetes, cancer, or even an STD??? I ask because if that is your religious upbringing, then you need to ask the authorities in your church.

However, God uses doctors to help us, just as he uses police to protect us, and church leaders to assist us.
