I too choose to believe and live by faith! This also brings me great comfort and strength. And in this, I always can find HOPE!

Choosing to mind my own business.

I believe God has a path for me.
He has "business" for me to do
and ways for me to get there.

If I spend time watching others
and minding their business,
I will lose time on my own efforts
and maybe miss some key clues.

It's ok to help others along the way,
but after polite ideas or suggestions,
I need to let God speak to them
about what they need to be doing.

I need to be mindful of how God wants
me to change
and where He wants me to improve
and to be patient with not only other's
progress, but my own also.

I choose to tend to my own path.

Still choosing to be the best I can be.
In these times when so many are searching
for what purpose or job God has for them,
or just what work in the secular world
they should do, I offer this:

There are only 6 jobs that can make you
a successful person.

To be the best son/daughter you can be.
To be the best sibling you can be.
To be the best spouse you can be.
To be the best parent you can be.
To be the best friend you can be.
To be the best employee/employer you can be.

I choose to be the best I can be, with God's help.

On choosing stillness.

God says to be still
and KNOW that He is.

With the hectic lifestyles
many of us lead,
the idea of being still
is unknown unless it
pertains to sleep time.

Take a pause in a quiet place.
Make it quiet if you can.
(Turning off the tv when no one is home,
leaving the radio off, and sitting
if only for a moment,
in the quiet, is an idea.)

Pause, and know He loves you.
He cares about all you do and
all you go through.
Be still.

Choosing stillness.

I choose to remain charitable irregardless of those around me.

Choosing prayer.

There are many ways
that God speaks to us.
He formulates his words
to meet our needs.
He mainly speaks through
His Word, but He is also
that still, small voice.

We have but one way to
speak to Him.
Prayer.
It might take form of
a vocal praise,
or a "silent" thought,
and at times only
a whimper or a moan.
It's still prayer to
the God of all.

Our prayers are important
to Him.
He allows us freewill,
and waits for us to share
with Him the needs and
desires of our hearts.

God does nothing but
in answer to prayer.

I choose to pray.

Choosing obedience.

Obedience is the only proof
of faith.
Faith decides the timing
of answered prayer.
Needing a miracle
one needs to act in faith
-to step out in faith-
before God will
intervene and give it.

Using your faith,
obeying God in whatever
the situation,
gives what is needed
from God.
God is not moved by needs,
God is moved by faith.

I will obey God and act
on my belief, and
expect His miracle.

I choose obedience.

Choosing to act justly.

Acting justly means that we strive to provide others
in society with equal opportunities, and
treat them impartially in every
area of life.

It means not giving preferential treatment to the rich
and powerful and not demeaning the weak and helpless.

I choose to act justly.

Choosing blessing.

God blesses us.
God honors our blessings of others.
But how often do we bless another?
Maybe, as a courtesy, when someone sneezes.

I choose to bless others.

Righteous indignation.

I hear 'ya.

Well, obviously, this is about "us and them" and they win. How my posting of late offends anyone is beyond me. I have been sufficiently silenced here...and I'm working quite hard at not becoming quite sad about it. It's never easy to not belong, but to try your heart out and still be told it isn't appropriate or good enough... and then see how easily others seem to post, and it's accepted openly.

I know you understand...all of you

Now I have to decide what I'm choosing about this situation, next.

(((((((Sky))))))))) From what I have read in your threads, I'm not sure what would have upset anyone?? So many of us have found them wonderfuly inspirational. And there have been such a diverse number of people responding, so I too am perplexed as to what may have happened.

Just know that I find great them all uplifting and loving and I appreciate the way you reach out to so many here and lend them wisdom and inspiration.

This too will pass....

I'm not quite sure what it is that has hurt you but if you choose your posts for approval or validation there will always be moments that you will feel dissappointed. It is the nature of expectation.

I'm not sure what has you upset, but I agree with Lenny. Our posts aren't meant to be homework assignments to be graded by everyone. We're not in a race to see who can make it to the top of the Best Sellers list. We're all on even ground here.

You post with your own heart and passion, and it's a gift to us all. It doesn't matter if we approve or disapprove. Either way, it gives us something to think about.

This forum belongs to you as much as it does to everyone else.

Today I choose to be grateful and appreciate Sky, regardless of the weather.

Sky why is it about 'us and them' we are all friends together .... i thought the fighting was over and done with.... we all have a right to this forum ..... it's about being kind to each other, we are all on this earth together ... we can get along even though we have differing beliefs can't we? We are all on a support site for individual problems, we all have our own belief systems, and i thought we were all respecting each other ..... it's not about 'us and them' i dont understand what you mean by that ........ ((((((Sky)))))) please lets not fight .,,, life is so hard without fighting Jin xx
