I was wondering how one got over being angry at God for making me this way. I didn't ask for 6 mental illnesses if in fact I truly do have them. I didn't ask to be this screwed up why did he make me this way? Am I just comic relief for him?

I don't blame anyone, it isn't anyones fault. No one asked for cancer or heart conditions. It just happens.

He promised to turn our weeknesses into strengths. Ask Him to show you how, or what you can do, to make good on that promise. He only gives us challenges that we are strong enough to handle.

(((hugs))) It's okay with God is you are angry with Him. It won't do you any good though. God says to "bring it on" and He will show you what you want to know.

I believe God created all things, and He said all things were good.
It wasn't He who caused things to go downhill, though He did provide
the Solution.

The body is a finely tuned machine, and when any one thing goes
wanky with it (professional term How to get over ) then it has a domino effect.

Allow God to use your weakness to rely upon Him.
God doesn't find pleasure in the suffering of those who are seeking Him.

How to get over

Ok this may be a bit off Jannie, but I dont blame God for my mental or physical problems. I blame my parents for having sex when they were so old lol. ( JUST KIDDING ) I mean they were 48 when they had me and waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back then.... jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez, no wonder I got some birth defects! But hey, its better to make the best use of what you got and go with it. You've gone to school, learned a new way of working for a living . That proves right there that Gods given you what you need to be more functional. I mean you graduated right? I think thats great! Try more to focus on the good things that are going for you rather than the bad. It makes a HUGE difference!!! Bad things are always going to happen, but so do GOOD THINGS!!!! I know for myself I've really tried to focus on those good things more. I am a more positive , upbeat, fun and functional person now than I was a few months ago when I was constantly feeling sorry for myself( THAT IS JUST ME AND MY OPINION OF MYSELF OK?)

Hope something in there helps you . Take care~

Bethy

((((((((jbug)))))))))) So sorry to hear you are in such a tough spot right now. I just wanted to reassure you that you aren't comic relief for anyone sweetie. And most surely not to God. He loves you and knows your sufferings, hears your cries. God would never delight in your pain.

Bad things happen to good people. We may never really understand why, but it does happen. Just as surely as some good things happen for bad people. I won't pretend to have all the answers. I just wanted to let you know in these difficult times, if we draw closer to God, He in turn will draw closer to us.

Peace be with you

Thanks for all your responses. I am taking them all in and thinking about them all. I am still quite angry and emailed my T about it and she said we'd talk about it in therapy.

God didn't make you that way or make it happen, Jannie. I call it "the human condition."

If you're angry at God, tell him about it and all your reasons. He'll help you work it out. That's a promise! You just have to "be still and listen." How to get over
