the path to peace and hope can be a long one...
filled with many bumps and curves
but so worth the walk....
the spirit of healing too can be a long road , but filled with
many journeys
Kindness, caring, peace and hope.
all the path open for all of us....
I see sanctuary as ahumble path to a open gate
where we all except each other in the world
I know you see the same...

i hope its ok to add these quotes:

Dorothy Thompson:

Peace has to be created, in order to be maintained. It is the product of Faith, Strength, Energy, Will, Sympathy, Justice, Imagination, and the triumph of principle. It will never be achieved by passivity and quietism.

Dorothy Thompson:

Peace is not the absence of conflict but the presence of creative alternatives for responding to conflict -- alternatives to passive or aggressive responses, alternatives to violence.

Dwight D. Eisenhower:

We seek peace, knowing that peace is the climate of freedom.

I sometimes am very quiet....when thinking about peace or trying very hard to gather it....
or pondering....builds it more
the path to peace is so many steps or stones or bumps...
when i fall off that path alittle and lose my temper...does not happen often...i do feel like i lost peace for a minute...never a good feeling..
peace is and the path to it is such a blessing......
thank you for sharing it....

I particularly like this quote. We've had our share of conflict here, but we managed to work it out together. I believe it brought us closer and made our prayers that much stronger. Each and every person here deserves an equal share of the pie, regardless of the cleanliness of their hands. Each and every one of us matters. ((The path )))))))))))) ty

It gives me such a thrill to come here and see people truly caring for each other. It gives me a thrill to see someone come in asking for prayers and/or support and see that person receive an assortment of heartfelt and respectful responses. ((The path )))))))))))) ty

Thank you (((everyone))) for making this Sanctuary what it is today. ((The path )))))))))))) ty

(((((((((All my wonderful friends here)))))))))

I am so grateful to see all of us come together in love and peace! Each one of us plays a roll in making this sanctuary what it is today. Just as importantly, we each have a responsibility in maintaining the beautiful spirit that is shining within this forum right now.

We may each have different beliefs, but we all have the same principles when it comes down to it. It is this basic fiber that we use to weave together our spirits in love.

Love one another, bear each others burdens, show each other compassion, treat each one with kindness: This, to me, is the true meaning of support and what brings us to be spiritual and connected.

Sending you all much love and light!

When I was a little girl there was a path so beautiful....
It went threw the woods, and down a hill, and to the river..
My favorite place to be , when i was young....
When you reached the bottom..ahhhh you could see the
mouth of the river which lead to the lake.....
For miles you could see a clear path of peace in my eyes....
The sunset there..so beautiful...
The path leading down you had to take special care of.
i had to becareful where I walked it could be slippery at times..
It was very steep too....
With sometimes lots of over growth...
In the summer a group of us went together. We all helped each other getting down.
Every night we all went down this path to this spot so we all could say goodnight to the kids across the river in canada....
We never knew the other kids on the other side of the river..
They did not know us....
We just knew it was the one peaceful spot in our lives where we could all connect.
The other kids across the river i think felt the same connection as we always kept it friendly and peaceful.
Which back then did not always happen.....
Thats how i see our path here to peace
May we all find peace
Its a beautiful view

((muffy))) i believe that as we grow older we long for our days of youth.. so pristine and clear in our memories are those good times at the beach, the park, with our friends..

we grow older and the dreams fade away.. life doesnt go the way we thought sometimes and we become distant to those kind memories and we write them off as the foolish wanderings of an inexperienced mind..

we give up on the idea of heaven on earth at some points.. it seems so far away... our lives get filled with chaos and bad news and heart aches..

we try to fight back but the odds are sometimes overwhelming and we come into a state of despair...

it is then that our faith rises to meet us...

as i know you do...
thats why I never let go off the path.....
as you have not....
i may goof once in awhile ...
but the path to peace is worth it in my eyes

Ahem, NWTR, did life go the way you wanted it to go when you were a kid? It certainly didn't for me. ((The path )))))))))))) ty I had plenty of days when I was filled with trouble and worry, facing what I perceived to be huge obstacles. ((The path )))))))))))) ty

But you're right. I can look back and reminisce about some really good times with good people and not a care in the world. Some of those times I consider beautiful now were just an average day back then. Oddly enough, some of the painful days hold beautiful memories for me now too. ((The path )))))))))))) ty

My father, for instance. When he was at the end of his life, I felt like I was carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders. When he died, it felt like my heart had been ripped out of my chest. I longed for the "care-free" days of my youth. ((The path )))))))))))) ty

Somewhere along the path that painful memory turned into a kind moment that makes me smile. Death is a part of life, and I got the chance to tell him how much I loved him before he passed on. I was able to assure him I would continue to live and do the best I could to honor him, until it's my time to go. ((The path )))))))))))) ty

There were some beautiful memories tucked in there as well. My husband, then boyfriend, showed his true colors to me during that time. They were just as beautiful as I'd hoped they would be. He had MUCH more patience with my mother than I had - I still chuckle when he says she was "sweet." I'm so glad my father got the chance to get to know and approve of my husband. They were very close. ((The path )))))))))))) ty

So now when life feels like too much of a burden, I try to look for Waldo (those kind moments) around me - or I create them myself. ((The path )))))))))))) ty

never give up
we will walk side by side......
I forgot the part off the story that the path had a railing for all of us to hang onto.
Very secure was that railing in our hearts.
Even now being older I can go back there and that railing is still there
and that path is forever going to be there.....
Its forever in my heart................
the path to peace.....
I am so glad to know you ((dani))))
