Hi everyone, not even certain I'm in the right forum. But.I always go here! Today, early afternoon, I felt like evil things were under my skin, throughout my body. It made me cry, and, I tried to make a hole for it to come out. In the end, I took an Ativan, and napped. Wondering if my meds are wearing off then, since I take them at 9pm.. This is new to me, maybe meds are causing this feeling? I just want to make it clearly through the holidays. Any thoughts appreciated, Kelli

Are the holidays a stressful time for you? Could that be contributing to the feeling of evil? This Thanksgiving Day happens to be my 50th birthday. I have some very high expectations (too high?) for that day, and I've noticed that I start getting anxious when I see any hint that something might spoil it. My sisters were having a disagreement a couple of days ago, for example, and all I could think was that the whole family would be up in arms on my birthday/Thanksgiving.

You posted this a few days ago. Are you still experiencing the sensation of evil?

How did you try to make a hole to allow the evil out?

Hello, wish you luck and goodness for your "50"!! Pdoc changed my meds, from Zyprexa, to Latuda. It hasn't totally gone away, but, better. I can't tell you how I tried to get the evil out. I actually see it, it looks like black sludge climbing up my legs. Pdoc says ignore it, its not real. Isn't seeing believing?

Thanks. I'm actually pretty excited. Half a century!

Glad to hear it's getting better. Did you take Zyprexa long? That's what my son takes. I've never heard of Latuda.

That would be something pretty freaky to see. It must be a relief to have it going away.

I took Zyprexa for a month, I actually liked it, but, Doc said, that, and Lithium are terrible for weight gain, So, I'm on
Latuda, it's brand new, only heard good things about it.
So I'm just being a guinea pig for now.

Weight gain is definitely a serious problem for Zyprexa. My son's pdoc doesn't like it for that reason, but he's willing to stay with it at a low dose.

My son dropped a huge amount of weight about a year ago - going from 148 to 116 in a matter of months. I think he just stopped eating for the most part. Anyway the Zyprexa got him back up his normal weight then on up to 160. He was pretty unhappy in the 140's, so from his point of view the weight gain was a good thing. The pdoc has him down to 5 mg (from 35 mg in March ), and his weight stablized at 160 months ago.

I like Zyprexa for a number of reasons. It's been around for a while, so it's less of an unknown. It went off patent in October, so now he can take a generic - cheaper! Actually his copay is now $0. Since he's on Medicare, I figure it saves the taxpayer a bit. Also, the biggie: it seems to help him with a minimum of side effects.

I looked up Latuda last night. It seems to have lots of good aspects. The cognitive improvement looks good. I notice that akathisia is a problem for 5% of people. My son is prone to akathisia. He's had it on every medication he's taken, including Zyprexa. Zyprexa gives it to him the least. It seems like they like to deny that the atypicals cause akathisia. I figure if they're admitting up front that this is a relatively common side effect of this new atypical, it must be pretty bad.

Yes, I always get the unpleasant heebie jeebies on the inside, for about 2 or 3 days. After that, I'm good! The evil is gone, for 2 days, that's a good thing!
Give me a week, 7 days free, and, I will be so so happy!
