Risperdal
Lamictal
Zoloft
Xanax

I really want off of Risperdal. I am making progress towards that end. My pdoc cut my dose from 3 mg to only 1 mg last time I saw him. He wanted me to go on Invega instead of getting off of the Risperdal, and I no way. I've had it with antipsychotics. Been on them since January of 2012. Tried quitting cold turkey twice and had bad effects.

Neurontin: 1300mg
Risperidone: .5mg (really sensitive to the drowsiness but may have to up it bc it is no longer blocking the sounds that i'm hearing that i know arent real)
Xanax: 3mg (but lately having to take at least 4-5mg to calm my anxiety

That's it for now but i have a feeling its about to go through a major change after my week long outpatient assessment at Menninger in Texas. They're supposed to call my psychiatrist to talk to her about medication adjustment since my initial diagnosis was completely wrong and for the past 6 years have been treated for something else.

I miss having the cocktail that had be on a baseline where i was just muted and numb. It was so much better than all these highs and lows i've been experiencing..

My cocktail is currently changing dosage-wise between drugs. I had previously been treated for major depression with psychotic features, which would suggest a higher dose of anti-depressant and lower dose of anti-psychotic. My new pdoc correctly changed my diagnosis to schizoaffective, depressive type, so we're lowering the AD and increasing the AP.

Effexor XR 262.5 mg (transitioning from 300 mg to 225 mg)
Haldol 20 mg (transitioning from 5 mg to 20)
Lamictal 150 mg (came down from 250 which was too much)
Klonopin 0.5 mg PRN (usually once a day, sometimes twice)

I feel calmer since the reduced dose in Effexor, which is a good thing. My pdoc said that Effexor stimulates dopamine at the 300 mg level, which fights my Haldol trying to calm it. We're getting my Effexor back to the level where it only touches seratonin and norepinephrine. Hopefully this works, because I have been on a med-go-round for the past four years. UGH.

When I was taken off Risperdal, the doctor weaned me up on Geodon (atypical AP) and then when I had full dosage of Geodon, he then weaned me off Risperdal. It worked flawlessly for me. No psychosis or withdraw.

Geodon working up to 160mg
Lamictal 375
Lithium 600 working down to zero month by month
Cogentin .5mg because of the Lithium
Klonopin 1mg 3X day
It's a tough decision for me. Lithium reduces my anxiety and panic attacks by 50% but I hate the blood work, the anhedonia ( I think all mood stabilizers does this to a certain degree). When I came of lithium before hand I didn't follow my doctor's orders. I was at a full dosage of Lamictal so every two weeks I took another Lithium pill away (300mg) and then when I was off I started to get agitated and melt again. The Lamictal wasn't doing anything for me. Classic relapse. So much for being my own doctor. When right bback up to 600mg and the mood swings stopped.

What worries me is if Lamictal will work, if ill get my full range of positive emotions back after lithium. Finally, I'm on 3 mood stabilizers if you include Geodon and I still have really bad depression. The depression is worse when off a moodstabilzer but still. It sucks.

They are in my sig, but I just got off of Elivil, Thorzine, and Respiradal. I also cut my Lamictal from 300 to 150. I've been on Abilify, Seroquel, Prozac, Celexa, Lexapro, Wellbutrin, Olanzapine, and Lithium. I think that's it. None of those worked for me. Lithium actually gave me (thankfully reversed) Tardive Diskynesia. And, yes, I know my spelling is horrendous.

I'm in IP right now and it looks like the docs are stopping the abilify and effexor. I'm back on Latuda and still taking the ativan as needed.
