God, it's 100 degrees here, and it hasn't rained in, like, forever. I was just in McDonald's and a very, very fat woman I'd never met before told me she was thinking about doing a rain dance. If it would help, I wish she'd just do it already.

Here's my poor sad state. I'm in the 'severe drought' area.

So, if one is you and one is your dad, that only leaves 630 "difficult" people.

I'm going to send some of the London rain over your way. We're technically in a drought (??) but we've had no summer and about five months of record rainfall. Something like, "We've never had this much rain since the Domesday Book" type rainfall. Thames Water keeps screaming at me to take 4-minute showers and not use my hosepipe, though. :eyeroll:

I did something very loud-mouthed and blabby at work and I keep having panic attacks about it. Also, I absolutely loathe one of my co-workers. I had a dream last night where I punched him and then did one of those "dream jumps" and I saw myself burying him in the walls of a sauna.

Panic attacks suck!

I'm still crying at the drop of a hat and feeling guilty for everything. I don't even know why I'm crying half the time. It's like my heart is being ripped at the seams by all the sorrow in the universe But, hey, I went to the GP yesterday for a med review and he said I looked like I was doing better, so what the hell do I know?!

I do loud-mouthed, blabby things sometimes too. I can understand how you feel.

A couple of months ago I was in the reference area complaining about the library director to a coworker. I said several times that the library was badly managed. There was only one patron in the area, so I figured I was safe. Ha! That one patron turned out to be the director's daughter. I was hoping she didn't hear or wouldn't tell him, but ... he's been really cool to me ever since.

Does that make you feel any better?

Yeah we keep getting flash floods here whereby the rain just lashes down and the pavements become rivers and you end up completely drenched even with a coat and an umbrella. Then 5 mins later it stops.

We never get drought warnings in Wales though

Hrm well, I disclosed something I was contractually bound not to disclose to the co-worker I hate, who is now using it to blackmail and harass me. I can't even go to HR because I think they'd figure out what I'd done (for which I could lose my job) . . . The only saving grace is that everybody else in the office hates this co-worker too, so when he gets too hard on me they tell him to go shove a pitchfork up his arse.

I think the proper question is, "What the hell do they know??" I'm sorry you're feeling so down. I've been the same way. I wonder if it's the damned weather?

We just have this interminable drizzle. It never outright pours, and it never outright goes away . . . Honestly, I'm from one of the driest places in the world that isn't a desert -- it can go years with no rain (only so in the winters) and so I find it amusing that there can be a drought in a place where it RAINS EVERY SINGLE *******ED DAY.
