I think hospitals are open every day.

My son was in the hospital over St. Patrick's Day once. We're part Irish, so he was pretty much getting that into his delusions.

I doubt if you're cursed. Some people tend to have problems at the same time each year for one reason or another.

i used to think that.
im usually in the hospital between feb and may and then between sept and oct.

but then i slipped up and went to hospital for something big in the summer. in first week of july.

but now that i think about it summer is really huge for me because late may and early sept are the months my dad almost died. he almost died 2010 and 2011. im sorry i keep mentioning it but my dads the only person in my life that actually cares and hes older and theres more of a chance i think id lose him. im very scared everyday. every. single. day.

Wouldn't surprise me at all. My adopted son would fall apart every May. When I started looking back I realized he'd been removed from his mom in May 2000 and May 2002. Then he was separated from his sisters in foster care in June 2003. (I suspect it should have been May, but they held on until June to avoid moving him during the school year.) Then in May 2004 he disrupted an important foster care placement. And May 2005 he ended up in residential treatment. Kind of a theme.

I imagine that spring felt like 'time to have my world turned upside down' to him. Once I pointed it out, he brought some awareness to it and was able to get some control over it. It doesn't have to rule you once you see through it.

Don't be sorry. He's important to you, and you're important to him. Just take it a day at a time.

thank you costello.

in may 2010 was the first serious time my dad almost died but sept 2011 was more severe. i mean like i said theres blood running out of his head on my shirt. a brand new white shirt.
there was.

anyway. hes been drinking but im sure its my fault. i started drinking i cant stop. my dad and i both got drunk today.

except he seems to keep it way more hidden now that i took up drinking. i passed out on the living room floor early afternoon. and he drank 2 tall cans while i slept and seemed ok after. and im drinking again. right now.

9am was the early i bought alcohol. ive been drinking day and night since the holidays started. maybe 5/6 days now. straight.

It's not your fault your dad is drinking. You're each responsible for yourself. I suggest you both stop drinking. It's not going to lead anywhere you want to be.
