This is relatively new to me, its been going on for about a month. That in addition to the 'usual' auditory and visual hallucinations, I get tactile ones. Example: Once when I was laying on my bed listening to music with my eyes closed, I got the 'being watched feeling' so covered my head with the blanket. 15-20 minutes later I felt someone crawling up the bed toward my head. I looked and there was no one. I started panicking, crying and telling them to stay away from me. Going beyond auditory/visual hallucinations

I couldn't yell, so couldn't call to my husband in the computer room. I just huddled up as close to the wall as I could get, feeling them coming closer and watching me. (this may sound unbeliveable) But its a good thing my husband is tuned into me and can many times tell when I need him. He came in less than 5 minutes after it started.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar? Going beyond auditory/visual hallucinations

YES......... I think many of us here have experienced episodes like this, but more in the PTSD department than in the Schizophrenia area. I think I have wrote a post about this happening to me in the PTSD thread.

I haven't experienced that but I have known a couple of people with schizophrenia who have experienced that.

so... you aren't alone with that.

it might be worth telling your doctor. maybe a med review could help?

Oh yes! How about them reading your thoughts and trying to change them. Also trying to change your mind to Anxiety or Autism. That you are being watched, people are spying on you, centipedes are in your throat, if you even think about medications that they will take effect on you. Your doctors even know you have not seen them in weeks are spying on you. Electro waves are trying to fry your brain. Glad I could relate to you a bit. Good luck, you are pretty lucky to have a husband who cares so much.

Thank you for the replies...I was feeling /really/ crazy Going beyond auditory/visual hallucinations

I'm dx'd schizoaffective, for those who don't know.

Sarah, I am watched 24/7, have been for Years.

special_k, I go through my pcp for meds (long story), he's told me that if what I'm on (from a former hospital stay) isn't working, he won't be able to do much, as he's a gp. I also have a Really hard time taking my ADs and anti-psychotics. I don't think the ones in my head like them, so get me to not taking them. Even though I know I shouldn't do that, I do...I'm not sure I'm always in control? I don't know how to explain what I mean, if that doesn't explain it. Going beyond auditory/visual hallucinations

I've just recently been diagnosed with schizoaffective. I just wanted to let you know that I have had alot of similar things happen (& are still happening) to me. You're definitely not alone with this. I also don't feel as if I'm in control.

Hugs, Jenn

Mine are still happening too Jenn, nothing terribly bad in awhile, though. Which is always good.

My head is feeling kind of 'floaty', which is usually a sign of pending trouble. Going beyond auditory/visual hallucinations Floaty..kinda light headed, unrealistic feeling, usually accompanied by nausea.

{{{{{Jenn}}}} cute siggy, btw Going beyond auditory/visual hallucinations

You know that happens to me a lot except I do not feel nauseous. Is is it really a part of Psychosis or what?

I'm not completely sure, Sarah. If it isn't, whatever it is generally leads to a brief episode of psychosis for me.

On one hand, so sorry you get the same feelings, Jenn...but on the selfish hand, kinda glad to know its not just me.
