I have periodic auditory halicinations on a daily basis. When I am with ppl.....I don't hear them. When I am alone....I hear approx 3 distinct voices. 2 male voices and 1 young female voice. And at other times I am paranoid that ppl are talking about me or out to hurt me. I have been diagnosised with everything from clinical depression to bipolar to schizoaffective disorder to PTSD to stress!

((( Zen )))

You're having a rough time of it, aren't you? Auditory hilucinations

Are the voices internal or external?

(Don't feel like you have to answer that if you don't want to.)

I am not sure what you mean by internal vs external voices. The best way to explain it for me is..... it sounds like someone is in the room or area talking to me or about me......so i guess I would have to say external. It's got to the point where I am paranoid that my neighbors are out to get me. Scared to go outside.

That does sound external, which can happen in Schizoaffective Disorder, as well as the manic phase of Bipolar. Have you talked to T or P-doc about this? It could be that you need a med tweaking or change, but I think you need to call them ASAP.

A previous conversation may have some good insights for you Zen888. For example, within that conversation there is a link to a few articles specifically for those who "hear voices".

Hey ZEN888,

If perhaps these "voices" are at the point where they are
interfering with your day to day activities then you should
possibly meet with your p-doctor asap. These things often
need our attention based on the illness, whatever that ill-
ness maybe, that we share somewhat on the forums we post on.
Its difficult to treat most all symptoms with just
one medication, your p-doc will find the right combination
once you develop his/her trust and start sharing what's
going on inside your thinking. Take care and I hope your
situation becomes clearer to you in the future.
