We have a hallway with a series of paintings called the Ten Commandments that are similar but tend to use vertical rather than horizontal lines.

Always happy to get a new plant

Is that a cyclamen Sometimes? It's very pretty & looks like mine. I'm in the middle of making a cactus garden so will upload a pic when I've finished

I made my brother a whale card the other day, adapted from an idea I saw online as a Valentine's card, but I made the sea from oil pastels and I made the waves 3D. The oil pastels were fun to use, but very messy. Should've used watercolours because I kept getting finger smudges on the card, but I couldn't find my paints.

Yes it is a cyclamen....if you intentionally smear the oil pastels it looks like blending if they're heavy enough...then it's technique

Lol I intentionally blended the oil pastels on the sea bit when I did it, but I meant that handling the 'sea' and cutting it up to go onto the actual card got oil pastels onto my fingers which then unintentionally transferred onto the actual card, so it wasn't very neat. I wasn't clear before so hope that makes more sense now. I thought it was such a cute idea though, and I thought my whale shape wasn't bad considering I can't draw very well lol

Yes the whale shape is excellent...I happen to really like whales too...

Finished my cacti gardens today! I don't really like the gardening/planting bit (too muddy), but I like plants and flowers

he was up all night on his wheel.
hes up between 7pm and 5am all night on his wheel.
sleeps all day. like hamsters pretty much do.
he doesnt like anyone to watch him do his aerobics on his wheel. but i can hear the squeaking of the wheel from my room.

I think it's Washington state....they have a big tulip industry and at $6 a dozen these aren't from holland...have fun on your trip
