I wish I was okay. I was terrified. It's so horrible out there. Spies are everywhere and it's not safe anymore.

Does anybody here besides me sometimes feel..... Suddenly more aware of the environment, and feel like you can really control almost everything about and within you, and feel as if the world is virtual... And not real? This has been happening for a very long time and I finally decided to ask.. I always thought it was normal so now I want to confirm that...

Like that movie the Matrix? Don't know if you've seen it but pretty much exactly what you are describing...

I think lots of people have considered the possibility that this world is virtual and I certainly can't rule it out but I've never been able to control anything...

Kinda. But what about the sudden feelings of control and awareness of my surroundings? When they come i feel slightly dizzy. What could that be? Also, I feel like in addition to the world being unreal i feel like it lacks color and emotion, even though I see color.

Hmm. I wonder if this is some level of dissociation---not sure its not something I feel---for me the world actually had more color---more things others could not see for some reason. For me there were in fact two worlds overlapping and only some people could see both.

does anyone know any tips for quitting smoking? im trying really hard to and i notice i smoke when im bored. so i thought maybe in place of a cigarette i could have a coffee and sit outside like i do when im smoking but drink the coffee instead? but idk what else to do. im just physically trying to replace the cigarette being there.

Yeah----it was really huge when it came out---it's become a cultural reference and the red pill/blue pill thing is pretty meaningful in reference to psychosis and its treatment...I still haven't decided which is the actual real world though in that regard and if even choosing a darker world that is more real has any benefit.

I could totally see that----I wasn't sick when I saw it so it was just another movie but it has a lot more meaning now....

Some people use lollipops for that oral stimulation....I'm just wondering with the ecigs---like the refillable ones is there any reason you can't just put water in them or something so you get the "smoke" effect but without any harm----it could even have sugar or something to taste good or you could use like half the normal liquid and half water to taper it off slowly...

I gave up about 4 years ago (went back on them last year like a fool). What helped me were little things like chewing or sucking on mints/chewing gum! Also eating an apple when you have cravings, it's healthy, takes about the same amount of time to eat as it would to smoke a cigarette and you're also using your hands! Be healthier than coffee anyway! Good luck, it's never easy!

Nicotine is actually as harmless as caffeine, when used in moderation. It's addictive but it's a good way to ween (sp?) your way off the smokes by reducing gradually.

Here is a make you own e-liquid site where you can get the glycerin etc and it tells you the right amount etc if you'd rather go that route.

Ok just did some research and so I'm guessing it had to have started when my dog died cuz i can't think of any traumatic event or abuse or anything at a young age or at all. Apparently everything I described is a symptom.. I will be sure to talk to the pdoc about that too. I can't remember when it started so it really could have began anytime..

the problem for me isnt the liquid its the actual vaping sticks. you know? the peices that hold the vapor. they are so cheap and are just crap unless i unload like a hundred bucks on a good one which i maybe should.

yeah there is some question about that----some people promote it as a cognitive enhancer and see it as harmless when delivered by the patch for example which I think is cool---however while the smoke itself is the issue for lung cancer, there are some cardiovascular effects that are due to just the nicotine so it really depends on your overall health but it can increase your chance of a heart attack...

Oh no that link was if you wanted to make your own flavor combos without nicotine---all you have to do it leave that part out and it shouldn't affect the smoke if you put the base in and the flavor and water. But yeah if you want the most realistic effect---I would go this route---you could also get the nicotine and add as much or as little as you wanted to help with quitting.

But yeah why not get a nice one---I used to buy backpacks every year because I got the cheap ones now I wait for the nice ones to go on sale and its like 10 years between backpacks---some things its actually cheaper to get a nice one of over time.

I've been using coffee to cut back on my smoking, it's worked well so far. I still can't quit entirely but it's progress and that's good enough for me for now.
