i dont always take all my medicine but i still come here to be heard. for support. i still come here to be heard...
i mean i see a therapist. i see a psychiatrist. i take most of meds everyday except 1 - which i take every once and awhile so i can be active in school and life and not be zombied out.

so because i dont take all my medicines i dont get to be heard?

i dont even talk about whats really bothering me that much anymore here because of that.

seems like a lot of people here are more interested in only meds and dont care much for psychosocial rehabilitation. which is what i not only try to get more of but i actually have stood up for people on here and in real life in the past for. everyone on here talks mostly about meds.

ive said this in the past but alot of you guys cant use just meds for everything and as the only way for healing for the rest of your life. as people with mental illness - if we can help it - we need to take steps beyond medicine and pharmaceuticals.

I agree meds aren't everything. What do you hope to hear when you talk about your hallucinations?

i would like at least acknowledgement of what i said. and empathy/sympathy. maybe some feedback on coping skills. support for good and bad news i may have. stuff like that.

i take advice on meds to heart. i listen to them and take them into consideration. i really do.

Feeling very, very alone. need to cry so bad but the meds won't allow it.

Just took a bath and my hair is falling out so much. It's all over. I'm gonna have to change mood stabilizers, not looking forward to it. I'm so sick of this illness...

Ugh, morning guys...

I've been really lacking in motivation & been napping all the time the past few days. Abilify seems to be going the same route as Amisulpride did for me. I actually skipped a dose last night so I could be productive today but I best not make a habit of that... will have to bring all this up with my p-doc & see what he says.

The ironic thing is Olanzapine which I was on years ago was sedating but it wore off during the morning, I don't think it's that. I'm guessing I just have low dopamine in one part of my brain but high in another causing the psychosis. I am wondering whether all meds would do the same or if them binding to different receptors would mean there would be another that wouldn't have this effect for me.

I'm puppy sitting today. She's a bit of a handful but it's not her fault she's only young.

I will try to do better. Sometimes i just dont know what to say.

I'll listen to you whether you take meds or not. I just don't always know what to say. I agree with you too, meds aren't everything. For some people meds aren't the answer period. I don't talk about it much but sometimes I don't take my meds. I hate how they make me feel and sometimes I just get so fed up with it. It's awful. I'm sorry you're feeling like you can't share here. I've said this before and I'll say it again, I like your posts because they help me feel less isolated in what I'm going through. That matters to me and I care about you.

I woke up really early again. I slept a lot yesterday so it makes sense just ugh. I hate sleeping.

Hi Atypical, I'm OK but I am not sleeping well at all. I start panicking lately when I lie down. Other than that I'm alive.

As my last post... I can sympathize with the I hate sleeping part... napping all the time just means I don't sleep properly these past few days which is a bummer & feel more tired. Damn APs - I seemed to be getting on fine until I moved back to my flat. I went to bed at 6:45pm last night... but I couldn't sleep because it was early. Ridiculous!

Other than that I am good... got a friend coming over later.

I was doing that for awhile, going to sleep just as it had gotten dark out. I wish I still could even though I wake up by 3 am. I'd rather be up much earlier than going to sleep late. The only advantage to going to sleep at 5 am is I begin to calm down the later it gets but then I wake up late and the anxiety is all awful again. Lately I'm going to sleep by midnight but waking at 4 am very tired and unrested and I don't actually sit up until 8 or 9 or later. Blah.

Newtus Im sorry you dont feel as supported here as you'd like but i think you do a disservice to the many people here who do support you. I hope you take time to reflect on this and feel grateful for the tons of support they provide you.

Just hydroxyzine. It helps but not like a benzo. If I find anyone who will prescribe benzos again I'll probably go back on them even though I've been through hell the past two years forced off of them. How about you, Loial, are you prescribed anything that helps?

I was told I had mild GAD, so I was put on an SSRI, Citalopram, which works wonders.

i have a 4 hr shift today. 3-7. but tomorrow i see T then im hanging out w/ my friend for her bday! then on saturday im going to stay the night at my mom's house

i feel a lot better about toby. he is acting normal. i feel so glad about that

That sounds good! I have a bunch of Cymbalta here but when I try it now it makes me horribly nervous and dysphoric. I remember feeling that way in the hospital too when they first gave it to me and it did wear off so I'm wondering if I could brave sticking it out to get back on it.

I'm really glad Toby is doing well. I hope you'll have fun with your friend.
