I don't even think people with psychosis experience visuals on par with LSD visuals.
Idk I had visuals of people that were pretty realistic...asian girls walking around in kimonos in the psych ward, leprachauns etc....although the leprachauns were admittedly tame as they were just normal people but with white pipes....maybe it's not the same exactly but since I consider visuals an element of psychosis I consider it comparable. Also a computer circuit board hanging in mid air, lit among the darkness. Lots of things I'm not sure about....

I suppose everyone's experience of psychosis is different but mine involves delusions with zero insight (which couldn't really happen on LSD as I've known I've taken a drug and it will pass), voices (which I'm kind of used to and aren't increased on LSD), babbling nonsense that I think is coherent but others can't understand (never heard of this experience from reading many trip reports), anxiety (reduced when microdosing, read in reports), racing thoughts (not really sure about this), depression (supposedly reduced when microdosing).

The visuals I'm nervous about, I'm going to ask my psychiatrist about that. He's really cool and told me he took LSD before so he'll know. If I microdose though it's unlikely I'll get any visuals at all and to be honest I'm on antipsychotic medication so this experience could be a complete waste of money.

Edit: on one occasion I had visuals when psychotic but it was more just pulsating floor boards than anything significant.

You don't think it's just a you thing? Seriously, never heard of this experience before and have been researching LSD for a while now.

I don't know. It could be just me but knowing what I know, if I could go back in time, I'd never have taken that stuff.

You have pretty bad anxiety, are you blaming LSD entirely for this?

No, I think the Acid and drugs like it just bring out what's already there, latent or dormant.

Ok, that's interesting. I'm going to do more research and see if I can find anything on it.

i tripped a lot in my late teens. i had an episode that i thought was very similar to my acid experiences. i think that was the most dangerous one for me. it lasted from summer to half of the winter. if you wanna take LSD then do what u want to do. i hope it turns out a good experience if you decide to. i would suggest being around another person you feel comfortable with and even better if they arent tripping. tripping alone is a diff story. and it helps to have someone there who is sober to keep you at least one foot in reality

I'll admit the chances are probably slim you'll have an adverse reaction but it's a chance nonetheless...

Oh and by the way, APs will block the effects of LSD. They are commonly used to abort bad trips so unless you've been medication free for a while you'll get hardly any effects from the LSD.

And I'd agree with Junk... having a sitter with you would be a good idea if you decide you must go ahead.

I've never done LSD. The only thing I've tried besides weed is something VERY stupid. I used to get high on Delsym cough syrup which has DXM in it (a dissociative), one night I decided to go "all out" and drank two small bottles of it. Let me tell you, that night scared me straight, never again I feel lucky to be alive

morning.

i feel really good. no headaches. no nausea. little to no anxiety. after sleeping nearly 17 hours or so. idk how much i slept but i slept a lot. and i took zyprexa and excedrine for my migraine in between. i didnt sleep that many hours straight except the first 5 hours.

this makes me want to manage my anxiety without meds because i was driving yesterday after taking my xanax and almost fell asleep. but part of that lethargy/sleepiness was from haldol.

Have you considered switching meds? You seem to still have a lot of symptoms on the haldol plus it makes you tired. I would try something else

problem is ive tried every atypical antipsychotic and they make me gain weight. ive been prediabetic before and obese because of meds so i dont want to go back there.

ive also tried almost if not every typical antipsychotic out there too available in the USA under the FDA. i get either tired or i get dystonia from them.

haldol had the least amount of effects. im not gaining weight on it anymore. im just tired. well i am zombified out on it too.

10mg makes me feel ok i think but i think im a little psychotic under it. 20mg was too much. 15mg might be pushing it.

Thanks for your input guys. To be honest it's something I've always wanted to try so I will go ahead with it. As for having a sitter, yeah I completely agree that's the best idea. I might try to get my anti drug fiancee (he's a drug and alcohol counsellor lol) to stay with me but it's doubtful. As I said though I'm planning to microdose just to get the uplifting creative effects without the crazy visuals and distorted reality. But the main thing here is I probably won't feel anything at all because I'm on an AP and have been long term. This is supposedly the same case for MDMA which I do feel the effects (though slightly reduced) of while on my depot so I'm expecting something. Microdosing doesn't have the same full on effects of taking a full blotter or two so I'm not too worried.

When I took DOB which is a DOx type drug I had a terrible dystonic reaction and ended up in hospital which concerns me. I'm going to take some kemadrin while on it to make sure that doesn't happen but they're not really similar drugs so I don't know.

I really appreciate you guys sharing your experiences, drugs fascinate me how they effect different people in so many different ways.

I hear you Newtus. I've been back and forth on meds and weight. Something made me gain 30lbs. I think its the anti depressant (Effexor), or all the beer I'm consuming. I can't get my anxiety down enough without two beers in the morning, even with the Klonopin, which does help greatly. Geodon has been good for me though.

I'm sad tonight... it's the last time I'll be sleeping in the house I grew up in. My parents are moving on Wednesday. That also means I'll be all alone up here as all my friends have moved away too. I'm not usually one for getting lonely but I think I might now everyone will have moved away.

I'm sad too, Loial. I'm feeling very alone. My only friend is here this afternoon for a couple of hours of clean up and it just puts into stark contrast how alone I really am. I feel very very down.
