I think Trent Reznor is sending me secret messages in music. There I admitted it.

Throughout my entire recovery I've taken a protein shake a day along with a multi vitamin and high potency omega 3 fish oil with about 400mgs DHA in it for the brain. The brain is mostly fat, protein, and water. I haven't had a cognitive decline... I do have an emotional one though.

And I know, vegetarians aren't suppose to eat fish oil but my brain health goes before everything, so I'm a bit selfish there. You can't get the same high dha fat from flax seeds. If your wondering what DHA is, it's what's in mother's milk and what babies need for a healthy brain as they rapidly form.

There's no study that says this works, and I haven't ever noticed a short term benefit.
Thanks for this!

Trent Reznor is very psychological, and very good with metaphors. He always has been since pretty hate machine. His newer stuff hasn't really interested me. Since he sobered up it's been pretty sour. My favorite album of his is The Fragile, but the Downward Spiral is right smack next to it. What he tries to do with his listeners is make them active listeners, to grasp on to metaphors because those grab people's attention and produce a long lasting image. The rose the never wilts.

I wish he wasn't so bitter towards religion, but I think as he's gotten older he has become more at peace with it. What do you think? Has he?

My favorite song by him is instrumental called Just Like You Imagined.
Thanks for this!

@cog

@Daytripper

If you guys like metaphors, check out The Mars Volta. They are bar none the best at metaphors. All their songs are all metaphors.

Check out the album Deloused In the Comatorium by them

I listeend to them day and night when i was going through my psychotic episode that lasted 3-4 years

Newtus, Mars Volta are a couple of my friends' favorite band. I really tried to like them but I just can't connect. They speak in different languages, and I can't hear what their saying. I'd have to read their lyrics over iand over again until I could appreciate them. I just haven't had the motivation.

I like the new song he's got out Less Than but it's not a favourite. I love bits of pieces from all Nine Inch Nails can't really pick a specific album lol.

But yeah I think he's not as bitter towards religion anymore. Maybe it's the 12 steps calming him down hahaha.

Favorite songs I would say like... Survivalism, Copy of A, Hand that Feeds, Where is Everybody. Stuff like that.

Its my favorite band too. Deloused in the comatorium album is all in english. Some other songs on other albums will be in spanish because they are hispanic and from el paso tx.

I'm going to beg the social worker to let me go home. I guess I could try to see her tomorrow. I know there's no good reason for these people to be nasty to me. They just are. I want to go home. They can look for programs for me no matter where I'm living, at least that's how it should be. There's no good reason for me to be here. It's making me feel suicidal.

Do you really think she will listen. I get the impression she really does not take in account your wishes only the doctors and the conservator. What do you believe about her involvement in your life. Can you file a grievance about these other patients or a grievance concerning the nursing home itself? All dept of aging government agencies have patient obmurdsman (so???) Can these patients be written up? Does the other staff members have a clue about what is going on. Do the other patients have cognitive defects, dementia or Alzheimers? Maybe they are very sick and they all have the same disease and only want to be around others like them? Can you stop vaping for a couple of days and stay REALLY FAR away from them? Why would they hate another nursing home patient you are all in the same boat??? Is there a ring leader of the group that started the whole problem. I guess blow smoke in their faces.

I'm remembering that it's more involved. That I have to find a judge who would be satisfied I could take care of myself. And it's hard to do that at my apartment. I'm so depressed here. No, you can't punish residents for being unfriendly.

Newtus, i'm curious if you're getting migraines because your not taking your gabapentin consistently. I believe gabapentin can be used for migraines.
