Well I don't think that's something you can hide because everyone asks about what you do first thing. As far as the criminal thing the reason I know its something to hide is my sister went to jail for overringing at her job---I was just talking about it one Christmas and my parents were like you told the cousins? I was like yeah, I mean she did it. She never said to keep it a secret or anything. But when I was in the mental hospital they told everyone too, I was like why did you do that, they said it was nothing to be ashamed of. So basically I think you hide things you should be ashamed of and disability is not one of them but crime is.

I got upset with him tho. Because if people ask what i do i just say im a college student living with my parents. People auto assume im using loans to pay for college, living with my parents because i dont work, etc. i dont tell people im on disability. For the reason that that lady on here said she was paying for it with her tax money. Which for one wasnt true because MY parents paid into that system for me to have it. Its on their work credits. But anyway it’s encountering people like that why i dont say im on disability. Too many people to count have said that to me.

THAT and people ask why im on disability and then i have to answer a bunch of questions about my mental health

I see yeah an old bf basically said he wouldn't tell anyone about my illness because that was for me to say or not say....I appreciated that. I have no idea who knows with the current bf but his brothers wife has a son with autism that's pretty severe so I know they are open minded.

My own mom tells me all the time how i dont deserve anything nice and i just need to pay my bills up every month and save the rest, because im on disability.

Does everyone here think i have no life too? My peer worker says i have no life.

Most of us only get a life on the weekends---so I would say you do have a life.

I think so too and my dad says i do too. My peer worker puts me down too much. Theres only one or two days a week where i dont have anything to do.

And hopefully ill be going back to school in January so itll only add more of a life

Im happy with my life. I mean i wish i had a girlfriend here to spend my time with, besides with the boyfriend and my dad. Then life would be perfect!

I go to work, go to the gym, go home. I only hang out with my family that I live with. I don’t really have any outside friends to hang out with and never go anywhere on my own.

your peer worker sounds like a real peach from everything i've gleaned. you do have a life, you have a boyfriend who loves you, you support your family and you're working on your education. god it's bananas how some people think you don't have a real life unless you're out partying and have a hundred vague friend shapes.

I just don’t understand what is wrong with me. A few years ago I was crazy, right. Depressed, self harming, restricting, delusional, etc. Took some meds for a while and then after a while stopped taking and then was fine.

Had a couple moments (like maybe a couple days here and there) over the years with delusions or restricting but I was fine otherwise.

But I’ve been ****ed up with delusional thoughts and paranoia now since April with no signs of stopping. Why is this happening now.

And nobody has answers. I like answers.

and gooood afternoon hello!!! things are slow today at work, it's almost christmas break and we all get two weeks off. spending the vacation time i've hoarded to take monday off and see the star war with the bf, considering taking wednesday too since i know half the rest of the staff will anyway. but an extra-slow pre-break day just means 9 hours of reading time on the clock. i'm so already in break mode though. being sick doesn't help my productivity.

ugh that's still gross of her to say. i mean most people's jobs just eat up their real lives and make them miserable anyway.

I don’t have much of a life... just spend my days watching TV or playing games. I don’t think that counts. I do have a few IRL friends but mostly my social contact is on here.

I’ve always been happy with my own company though and I don’t mind the way things are.

It would be nice for things to change in the future really. You know, having my own family.

Haha I have no family or work. I'm happy with the lack of a life I had before the nursing home. Wish I could go back to it.

I feel you. I hate not having definites for my diagnosis or knowing what will happen. Sometimes you just need to know why things are how the are.

it's taken me years to shape a "life" for myself outside of being dragged into groups and shuffling around party scenes. there were lonely patches for sure but the alone time helped me grow and heal as a person. it helped me realize and accept that i legitimately enjoy being alone and being in my own space. i might not completely like myself but i can tolerate myself at least. i'm a simple binch who's perfectly content spending my weekends curling up with my dog, unlimited tea and rpgs for 16 hours and it's nothing to be ashamed of.

My coworker asked what I do in my free time. I do a couple things but I didn't know what to say. I hate when people ask me those questions.

I don't like personal questions about myself and I sure as hell don't ask them to someone else :/

Maybe I'm just better off without friends.
