There are stronger antipychotics like Risperdal that are more successful that other atypical anti psychotics...
I'm glad your husband is challenging you and working with you to do reality checks. You're mind is open, and you have insight. That is important, hang on to that as tightly as possible! |

I've lost touch with reality completely before; it's very scary. I agree with Day Tripper, you still have insight, which is good. Keep challenging those unreal perceptions and thoughts.

I have hallucinated on meds before. I think it is normal. You are suppose to get therapy with your meds.

I understand. Breakthrough hallucinations do happen. I also think that sometimes there are breakthrough delusions.

Yes I do believe that this can happen. I have severe psychosis during many medication treatment. I think that for some medication can only surpress certain symptoms. And for some all and others none. There are many degrees. Only recently has it turned moderate.

This happened to me months and months when I was changing medication. My mom kept me home though but no med helped until seroquel which made me feel sedated and tried all day. So I reason that I have to feel sleepy all the time to decrease the time of the psychosis. But yes this can happen unfortunately. I suggest maybe trying different meds, coping mechanisms and talking to your treatment team maybe. Maybe loud music with headphones?
I’m glad that you are receiving help and that you have some insight. It’s better to have some than none right?

I still hear voices and see things and I'm on medication ALL THE ****ING TIME... thing is I have some insight... which is why they let me out of the hospital after adjusting medications a bit.
