St. Kateri is interesting to me all the way she was both unique, and also rather typical of her time. I feel she suffered greatly, but hope she felt relief and joy through her faith.
I hope you are enjoying her story.
Thanks for this!

Thanks! I just finished reading it, I enjoyed it a lot. I'm excited because there's all kinds of museums and places to see related to her near here because I live in the Mohawk Valley area

I'm reading the book I won, "The Binding" by Bridget Collins. I am really enjoying it! I have a feeling it's going to be a huge hit when it's released

I have to say it’s a great book so far, but I can only read about 30 min at a time. Still it’s pretty cool, the library of Alexandria was never destroyed and now runs civilization. But like anything with true power it seems vaguely evil.

Interesting... I always wondered what would it be like if civilization never lost that library. There was a pious man who cataloged all the books he could from the library of alexander. I'm folding my hands and saying a prayer for him right now.

I'm about halfway through The Binding.

I'm also reading a manga series called "Sweetness and Lightning" by Gido Amagakure. Just finished volume 1.

I'm listening to Stephen King's It as an audiobook. It's pretty good. I can see why the movie would be scary (I haven't seen it yet).

I'm currently reading Till We Have Faces by C.S. Lewis. Door recomended it to me. It's beautiful. If you're feeling philosophical I recommend Ishmeal by Daniel Quinn. My intro to philosophy teacher made it a mandetory reading. I like how it dealt with religion, it treated it with reverence. It's wrapped in a story but gives a big picture view of the world.

I’m reading Down Under by Bill Bryson. I love his books. Been a while since I last read one. In fact this book was one I took to Mallorca in 2011 but never finished, so decided to take it to Cyprus and start over. (And hopefully finish it!)

I have recently read "Highly Sensitive People in an Insensitive World: How to Create a Happy Life" by Ilse Sand and it was very enjoyable to see such an understanding perspective and outlook

The next book I'm reading is "The Graveyard Book" by Neil Gaiman. I read it several years ago and really enjoyed it, I remember the general ideas just not any details or plot so I thought I'd read it again since it's perfect for the Halloween season What are you reading?
