I finally picked up The Master and Margarita and it began with a quote from Goethe's Faust lol Then the story covered the roman Pontius and Jesus talking to each other. Pretty cool so far.
Thanks for this!

Just starting reading... the Qur’an.

For a while I’ve thought I’d like to read the Bible and Qur’an but it just so happened there were people handing out free copies of the Qur’an in town so I took one.

How is it really? I tried the audiobook, but it wasn't high quality. can you rank it from 1-10 and what emotions does it evoke for you? I usually love sci fi and cyber punk but I just can't empathize with it every time I restart it.

I didn't really like it that much. I'd give it a 3 if 10 was the highest number and 1 was the lowest. There wasn't a lot of continuity with character so it was hard for me to get into it. But a friend loaned it to me so I felt obligated to read it. It has a really good premise and it created some cool thoughts about civilization and stuff but it really wasn't one of the better books that I've read even though it's supposed to be one of the great sci-fi books. Kit.

My friend told me that the next one in the series has much more "character" in it and that the character is continuous throughout. I may read that one. Kit.

Yes and no! The author Robert Jordan had a meeting with Brandon Sanderson on his death bed, and gave all his notes, and had long talks with brandon Sanderson, and then Jordan passed away and Sanderson finished it!

Brandon Sanderson is a very good writer too. He wrote the Mistborn series which was awesome. He also is writing the Stormlight Archive but that series isn't finished. I think he's writing book 4. and these books are like 900 pages long each. How in the world do people write so many books?
