Evening,

My day has gone well. My sisters family came over and opened their presents and we all had a meal together.

My sister got me the The Cursed Child playscript. (Harry Potter). I'm just reading it now.

Tomorrow morning my nephew is coming over and we are playing Pokemon Let's Go together,

Every year I get an annual checkup for liver function, cholesterol and blood-glucose. That's pretty much it though. Only other test I had was kidney function after my OD.

They do the same here but will add vitamin d if you have a history of depression, a1c if you have sugar issues. Know some people whove gotten iron but that’s the extent of it.

My mom is hallucinating loud music, for weeks I guess. And she's paranoid of a.squirrel that was watching her a few months ago. I have always suspected she had paranoid sz. I guess she's more symptomatic now.

My mood ranges from 4/10-6/10. Very rarely it was a 3/10. Right now it is a rare 6.5/10 (Yes I am very precise about my mood..)

Sorry to hear that. That must be terrifying for her. I can’t imagine it coming on later in life like that.

I know. Well, at least I have my own experiences with that, if she ever wants to talk about it. Maybe the adult daycare is the best option. She doesn't want that though.

I hope she’ll come to you about it.
Is there a counsel on aging where she is? That’s what my gram does. The van picks her up in the am and she stays there until after lunch and then the van brings her home.

Yes, that sounds similar but I thought it was in the afternoons. She said it would be like a job again and she doesn't want it. I don't blame her. But she's hard of hearing (except for the hallucinations) and won't get a hearing aid, and she's had at least one frightening fall several months ago. So it might be too dangerous for her to be alone. I'm not going to chime in there because I'm not able to help with her care.

Yeah Roll Call 141!. Getting older sucks. It’s got to be scary.
I hope they can figure out a way to keep her safe and independent.

Yes. She's been really lucky with her health, and not to have dementia. I'm so grateful for that. Hopefully she can stay in her home for the rest of her life.

Yes. I hope so too.
Thankfully my uncle has lived with gram his whole life. They take care of her. She’s started with some dementia and can’t really be alone for too long anymore. Last month my aunt bought her an electric kettle and came in the kitchen to find it in flames on the stove. At least I know she will live out her days at home. My uncle works from home and his wife works odd hours but my other aunt lives next door and takes gram when needed.

I'm really glad your family can watch over your gram. I should go back there probably to take care of my mother, but I have terrible luck with my apartments in Chicago. I've never lived there very successfully. In the east I live in places for years, but in Chicago I'm moving like every 8 months. Maybe it would be different in the suburbs with a car though. I hope your gram escapes getting worse dementia.
