Nice!

I am so procrastinatory today and these days in general.

Wish I was still in undergrad...

Thanks! That's really sweet of you, Newtus! <3

A guy who I follow on twitter, and he follows me back, also works in the trades and is a writer. It's good to see another person in a trade succeed.

Today was okay, we're starting this huge project, exterior. I'm going to look very tan after this. The new college kids are doing terrible. We can't trust them to do anything right. One of them says he's scared of ladders. lol

Just was able to pretty much confirm that I am dealing with some depression again. Bummer. Was mostly psychotic from October to mid-May. Had maybe three or four weeks of pretty much euthymia, and now, this. So disappointing not to have a longer period without a lot of symptoms. My illness is just becoming harder and harder to deal with the older I get.

Sorry you’re feeling depressed and that things are getting worse as you get older...

Have I told you the pick three technique? If you do it early enough in a depression you can turn it around.

It was a cbt thing I learned...the therapist told me if things that used to make me happy weren’t working then I should double up the positive energy, I changed it to triple.

So you just pick three activities, one each for a different sense. Example ....I like animals so I might visit a zoo and take photos while enjoying a snack or drink, three fun things at once. It amplifies the experience the more you do at once.

You might like biking, Some music and one more thing....maybe you’d like to take photos too?

Idk but you can pick scented candles or other scent, taste, etc but you need to do at least three things at once.

If you can afford it you can also buy something new that’s small, a scented soap, a new type of drink(mocktail)?

Maybe cooking a new item is fun for you? Bake some cupcakes while calling a friend and enjoy both the smell and taste and sound.

Touch is the most difficult if your alone so break out a squeazy ball or a fidget spinner. Whatever it is three different sense, three activities....

It’s a grounding technique

The key is doing it when you can still feel at least a little...so whenever I notice a slight downturn I do this and it flips back but you’ll probably have to do a few different things with three together before it kicks in.

Sometimes anticipation helps too, so like ordering something tiny that will show up in a few days helps...and don’t overlook things you might have enjoyed in childhood like a high bounce ball or whatever.

Ah man I was changing my clothes and my shirt got caught on one side of my industrial piercing and ripped it out. Like completely through the skin. Hurt a little bit but I think it was already migrating. Oh well, guess I’m not meant to have an industrial.

So, 3 different activities. Separated in time? They each have to focus on a different sense type?

All at once...the point is basically to supercharge your brain with the combined activity.....it’s like you’ve gotta have so much fun that you’ll actually be able to feel a little bit again.

I’m a little sad because I always wanted an industrial piercing but also I’m laughing my *** off because it’s so stupid how it came out.

Roll Call 168 =)

The side closest to my face got caught and pulled out. It didn’t hurt too bad which makes me think my body didn’t really like it anyway.

Feeling a bit better now.

Ate out with my grandparents which was nervewracking but I took my geodon with dinner and in about an hour i was calmed down.

Still paranoid but not as much so.
