Yeah and now hearing more about the cultural and bad things it’s like eeeek good thing I didn’t go into it.

I wanted to be a dentist and stuff when I was younger but my chemistry isn’t that good.

Exactly...

I think being a dentist would be tough because everyone is basically scared of you...

Now if I could go back I would consider being an orthodontist. Big money there. Or be big in finance.

But I’m happy now with my path to get a math degree.

When I found out fiancé had a gaming computer I thought he was really smart with that stuff. Turns out I am more than him.

Also, it seems as if I go through many days of depression and then maybe 2-3 days of hypo. All while hearing stuff daily whether depressed or not, or hypo or not. Also delusions. It never turns into mania tho. So maybe I am schizoaffective. Not that I ever doubted it!
Newtus, I have no idea what to call this illness that you and I share, schizoaffective, bp 1 with psyhcosis, whatever. Dunno, but I have very similar symptoms and course to what you describe.

Hugs!!!!!!!!!!!1

I don't know how to get that rush of energy without lots of caffeine, now that I'm drinking decaf...sucks.. but also kind of worth it cause it will ease my panic attacks. However, I've got to find new ways to get that energy back

Yerba mate is a decent alternative that works sometimes.

Both my parents were the first to college in their families. My dad was dirt-poor oil field trash from West Texas. But he was smart and put himself through college and UT med school. Both he and my mom were voracious readers and we all read a ton. And although I ultimately I was lucky to go to some fantastic schools because of them, dad taught me early that the same books people at Yale read are available in almost any library. Anyone can be educated, all you have to do is read. You don't have to go to Stanford. By far, the two most talented surgeons I ever had the honor of operating with were graduates of the University of Mississipi and the Univerity of Tennessee. They were in their own leagues compared to anyone at Harvard or Vanderbilt. So...

Where I went to undergrad, we were required to take music and art history and philosophy and Greek and English lit, no matter if you were an engineer or what. Now, most of the other Ivies have that same requirement. I think it is a good idea, so folks can be introduced to a broad piece of our cultural heritge.

I took a nap and woke up to it sprinkling outside. I just ate a bomb pop. You know those red, white, and blue rocket looking ice pops. I need to switch to ice pops and let go of the ice cream.
